Ancient Library Room - Relaxing Thunder & Rain Sounds, Crackling Fireplace for Sleeping for Study

*Ambience Storyline* :
“I don’t let just anyone in here,” the caretaker said. “I’m trusting you.”
You nod your head as he steps across the creaking floor and shuts the door behind you. It had taken months to win the caretaker’s approval and here you are now, in a secret room hidden in the library; safe from the rain indoors. The floorboards creak as you step forward, admiring the art and books illuminated by the fireplace.
The sounds of thunder and rain seem to disappear as you examine the priceless literature. There are ancient documents here, important cultural and historical works, and you scrawl down the most important information as you go along.
After all, the final clue might be there...

This is my dream world. All I want in life is an old creaky house with a fireplace and a library... somewhere in the English countryside or the Scottish highlands. 🧡

Just imagine being able to sit down and relax in a comfortable room like this where nobody can find you, nobody can bother you, and you can just enjoy being alone in peace and quiet with a lot of wonderful books to read. Maybe bring a few snacks and a few drinks in there, light the candles and the fireplace, and just be in a totally safe and secluded place until you fall asleep for the night. If there is such a place as this in real life, I would love to discover it. Thank you for making this beautiful video.

This brings me back to when I was little, we all shared the same bedroom so sometime my dad was working at night, its raning outside, I was in my blankets behind him and could hear his pen clicking, his typing on the keyboard, noise of the papers when he turn the page, the fan's running, all under a dim light bub on his desk that he covered me from. God damn I'll pay no matter the amount if I could get that experience back once again.

Every time I hear the rain falling, my heart feels calm, cool inside, dispelling the burning fires of thoughts.

I wish we could all just sit in those big armchairs with soft blankets and read all night and sipping hot drinks. Every once in awhile one of us would make a small noise in reaction to the story or a remark on a character. Staying up all night listening to the cracking of the fire and the rain outside, our eyes scanning over each word illuminated by soft lamplight and candles.

Whoever is reading this message are very special people in my heart! So be proud that every morning when you wake up I still think of you. I love this so much. The sound of the chair and the books is like a silent companion, but you don't have the uneasy feeling of forced conversation. Just silently working next to each other enjoying the company. Amazing.

Just imagine having a room in your house like this though. I'd never leave! I'd use the table in the middle of the room to write at and that lovely couch to read! And I'd have all my favorite books on the shelves!!!! If only.

This is one of my favourite 'go-to' relaxing videos to watch (mostly when studying). The images are perfect - I adore the little touch of the books on the floor, it wouldn't be relaxing if everything was too neat. The glowing from the candles and fireplace feel so true to life and the fireplace crackling sound is absolute perfection. I love the sounds of someone writing on a notepad as well, it makes it feel like a real library space 💖

and they say being an introvert is so boring.... well they certainly don't know the comfort and bliss we find in silence and nature...this is a perfect video for my imagination / work / study and what not ...just so relaxing and comforting ...away from the chaos of the modern world...

IF I could, I would step right into this scene, pick out a good book to read, sip on my English breakfast tea, and thoroughly enjoy every moment of the ambiance which I'd be surrounded with. Ahhhhhhhh but to dream!

Shame there's not a VR version of this. Make a room with books you can actually pull down and read with a table where you can take notes with a stylus or controller.

I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.

Nice, warm crackling fire with the fragrance of pine and oak. An old book well worn, I've been wanting to read.
A hot cup of tea or Toddy. No phone.
I'd be out cold in 30 seconds and the book would be finished 3 years later.

I wonder if there is a channel like this that uses the closed captions as a storytelling device. Like, for those that just want the video or audio there are no words on screen but for those that want it they can turn on the captions and read a story while the video plays. I feel like that would be awesome.

Oh very nicely done! There are a lot of "old library" videos out there but the sound mix on yours sets it apart from the rest. I love the creaking wood and also how the thunderstorm sounds like it is outside, not in the room with you. The paper/writing sounds are not overpowering everything else either. You can really feel like you're part of the atmosphere. Just very well done overall. Thanks for this!

The rain sounds so unique as you can hear how it falls on different plants, almost a crackling noise. Has such a depth to it, and I can hear so well when the rain increases and subsides. I can just picture myself lying under a tarpaulin and letting the beautiful setting envelope me with sight, sound and texture. Outstanding video to cleanse the mind and inspire the soul. This was one of my favorites to help me get through some course work. More importantly, it soothed me and my kitty during some extremely trying times where others created chaos for us. She hung in as long as she could but has passed since. I return here for the comfort of remembering the sanity she insisted I maintain. I am crazy just enough to imagine her curled up here gaining the warmth from my lap.
