Maxwell’s demon equation room, that was a damn good catch!

Nolan: Makes another movie
Me: It’s about time

Nolan saw all those “I didn’t get Inception” jokes and was like “well you haven’t seen anything yet.”

This movie already came out. *We just haven’t seen it yet*

I’m mentally prepared to have everything in this movie go right over my head, forcing me to rewatch at least 4 times. And I ain’t even gonna complain.

I watched the trailer and immediately wondered where the heck is the NR video. Missed you guys!

Even before the quarantine this was my most anticipated movie of the year. I’m also really happy I have no idea what the movie is about 😂😂

Teacher: So, what did you learned during your quarantine?
Me: Maxwell's Demon, time equilibrium equation, entropy, the usual stuffs.

I'd like to point out one thing.
This movie is not gonna be about time reversal or time travel...It is about the literal inversion of time.
The pattern i see in these trailers is the focus on mathematical symmetry. Reversal is just one of many aspects of symmetry, and i think this movie is going to capitalize on at the very least, the symmetry of inversion and by proxy, chirality, which is a defining characteristic of inversion.
Inversion implies chirality, which as an example can be though of like this: Putting both hands out in front of you, you can't just take a line between your hands because it's not symmetric in the X plane, you can't even flip your hands because it's not symmetric in the Y plane either. Your hands literally do not have symmetry with one another other than that they are chiral, and thus your left hand is an identical, but inverse version of your right hand.
So for this movie, i think we will be seeing an interpretation from Nolan that is about the inversion...chirality of time. Think about time like this :
Event A triggers Event B triggers Event C triggers event D triggers event E.
A->B->C->D->E
an inversion of this sequence of events would be
A->D->C->B->E
Where DCB is the inversion of BCD.
An inversion can get pretty crazy, in that we could have Inversions WITHIN other inversions. If you ask me what i think Nolan is doing, it's this layering effect of inversion upon inversion, where you do things before they happen, and you do the things you did in the past, later.

Damn, I think you nailed the parallel worlds theory here, in that one time flows forward and the other in reverse, and I’d bet there’s some sort of middle point where the two overlap and that’s the “point of no return” to stop whatever they’re trying to stop, or something to that effect. Definitely excited for this movie

Erik this will HELP me when I go see it, and maybe cut down on the number of times I'll have to re-see it. You are the Grand Maestro of getting the hang of an entire feature-length, complicated story on *very* few clues. Bravo!

First of all, big ups to you doing your homework and studying the HELL out of this trailer. Thoroughly impressed. Catching such subtleties as the red/blue rooms, the gloves, the equation. This is the first breakdown/fan theory that I've seen that I feel has some serious credibility.
Second--and this is just a general Nolan praise--how friggin' cool is it that Nolan would dare to make this move. If you're right about half of what you're predicting (which I feel you might be) that would make for an impressively imaginative plot.

2:31 just a theory. i think the glove is not the one having the power of time here but the object itself. As you can see the place is an archive and i assume its an archive of objects that have been affected by the weird flow of time.

I really like what you said about the bullet holes in the glass, I think that might be the metaphor in the movie. When it shows the card that say “Christopher Nolan” and the other movies he’s made, there’s a shattered glass overlay that’s reversing.

Here's an issue I see with experiencing a "time reversal": I don't believe you would be able to visually see anything. We see by having light enter our eyes after being reflected off an object that previously originated from whatever source created the light. How could you see anything if the light is now traveling back to an object you need to see instead of entering your eye?

I was waiting for this breakdown.. every time, some detail is brought up that blows my mind.
However, on the whiteboard in the lab, the equation is indeed Maxwell's equation, but it is Maxwell's equation for thermodynamics, as opposed to Maxwell's equations for electromagnetism that is shown next.

Door -- Demon's door(Martin Donovan's reference to Door)
Red room -- Fast Particles( more heat )
Blue room -- Slow particles ( less cool ).
The hole -- violates second law of thermodynamics.

I think it's more accurate to say the film will deal with the inversion of entropy, changing cause and effect. Time is sort of dragged along as an emergent property since one way time is described is the unfolding of entropy in the universe. Or rather "time" is how we experience the increase in entropy.

Another detail that points to the importance of the bullet holes in the glass wall is the fact that the trailer's banners are perforated with bullet glass holes, too.
