  • Here is a story to remember. It's about peace and human rights. It's also about how these amazing women, survivors of sexual violence in conflicts, met each other despite living continents away.
The so-called 'comfort women' or the Japanese military sexual slavery is a war crime committed during WW II just like the Holocaust. Over the years, hundreds of victims of Japan's wartime sexual slavery in Korea have courageously given testimonies before the public - one of the most symbolic figures being human rights activist Kim Bok-dong.
Even after her death in 2019, she continues to inspire countless people around the world to take up her fight to demand a proper apology from the Japanese government and seek justice. Her story and spirit have also touched many women in Uganda. They, too, survived sexual violence during Uganda's civil war by Joseph Kony's notorious Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).
In November 2019, KCIJ-Newstapa went to the African country to record how they were fighting stigma with solidarity and how Kim Bok-dong's supporting it.

Evidence of testimony against many Koreans at the hearings of U.S. soldiers krplus.net/bidio/fpyGh3aLp5jLdmE during the 1973 War. The same behavioral characteristics as Kim in North Korea who blew up his uncle.
Criticism against Korea from the UK. krplus.net/bidio/maWGa4WmaLC2fnY&gl=US

FYI, the scholarly accepted number of the victims of the Japanese sexual slavery (ianfu(慰安婦) in their sneaky terms) during WW2 amounted to 50,000 at least, one of whom is Kim Bok-Dong in this video

In the same profession of that paranoid story, there is a sequel in just a few years later. The memoir of truth from the returned soldiers. krplus.net/bidio/gpelmIVlq4XaipQ At the time of the Korean War after pure Japanese left, backward Netherlands Army removed the fact that Korea unscrupulous traders who had approached the soldiers had exploited the money of prostitutes while grinning. But the unscrupulous dealers were too much, so they kept on remaining. If it was a painful experience, why didn't they have NO RECORD of telling the UN forces in 22 countries to "Help me from brothels for 10 years."? NOT EVEN ONE. krplus.net/bidio/fpyGh3aLp5jLdmE Evidence of testimony against many Koreans at the hearings of U.S. soldiers. Witnessed the figure of the Koreans who were disorder and immorality in the local, the United Nations Army including Canada and Australia decided to truce, feeling that the sacrifice of the soldiers was useless. krplus.net/bidio/hdmneomRlG7ZYag
