@@edgarmireles7559 they barely beat the Lions and Packers, and they couldn't beat the Ravens back in December. Prime or not, the Chiefs are a cohesive unit with ample playoff experience that I believe will give them the edge

@@MegaDemigod1Chiefs don't choke though. Quite the opposite honestly. 49ers will need to take advantage of Chiefs' relatively weaker rushing defense if they want to have a chance. That defense is not going to let Purdy do much with the passing game.

This game got me into American Football. As a lifelong (what I would then call) Restoftheworld Football fan from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I happened to be in the US for work and thought: 'ah well, let's give this a shot when I'm here anyway'. Absolutely loved the game and the whole spectacle around it. I've been hooked to NFL ever since. What a great sport!
It is funny to re-watch this now, as back then I didn't understand too much about the game and just now I realize how much more there is to like once you understand the sport better.

Exact opposite for me as a Chiefs fan. Coming back to rewatch this victory after a fifty year drought reminds me of how Mahomes is a great QB and possibly the Chiefs best recent decision. That $500,000,000 contract was well worth it.

My grandad and I have always been big Chiefs fans, growing up just south of KC. Before moving to college, I’d be over at my grandparents’ place almost every Sunday for game day. Those were the tough times, but my grandparents and I always had a good time with each other. When I moved to college, the chiefs started getting better and better. How I wished I had been home, watching those winning games with him. I remember when we made it to the Super Bowl in 2020, and how we both were just overjoyed and almost in tears. “One more game” we told each other. During SB 2020, I wasn’t able to be home due to school and work, but I told him I’d call him after the game to discuss how it went. When the chiefs won, I called him and we were both crying on the phone, we’d been through so much, and this was all worth it. I managed to get some time off to go to the parade with him, and we spent the whole day among many who felt the same way as us. It was a day I’ll never forget. 2021 season rolls around, and we both had high hopes for the Chiefs, which they delivered on. During the post season, I lost my grandad to a sudden accident. Every game hurt to watch without him, and especially SB 2021. I miss him so much, but he always loved this team. I watch this video again and again to re-live that moment that we shared, and how I’d do anything to have it back.

I had a comment here 4 years ago congratulating the Chiefs (I'm a 49ers fan), and that I hoped there'd be a potential Super Bowl rematch next year.
There wasn't, but we finally get one in 2024. Funny how sports is sometimes.
I skew more towards the chiefs but think the 49ers are a great team I thought that 19-20' was pretty good, I think this 23-24 49er team is even better. Should be a good game. Hope its a close one either way. I think Purdy could succeed where Garoppolo has failed. Mostert, Wilson, and Coleman were quite the three headed monster. I think McCaffrey is that bottled into one. Looking back at these highlights, its crazy how few players are still on either team that played in that game. Good luck and good health to your team. But let’s break it down, deep pass at end of the half, defender was in a good position to make a play, but Kittle was ahead by a half step and he pushes off and creates well over a yard of separation and the push off takes a well positioned defender and puts him out of position to contest. That’s pass interference.
Travis Kelce runs a good route. Mahomes throws it back shoulder seeing the defender not looking. Kelce still almost catches it even though the defender is running through him because he has no idea the ball is even coming his was, that’s bad defense.
Tyreek hill trapped the ball. Was overturned correctly.
The touchdown run was very close. Honestly within an inch either in or short(only has to break the front part of white line) when his foot lands out. The best view was the ref. But that’s not a controversial call. That’s an inch in real time. Controversial would be it was a foot short.
Delay of game not called, are you seriously contending that the 49ers Terrible clock management is the refs fault. If that 4&10 turned into a first it would be the refs fault for missing it. The real problem is that on that 4&10 the 49ers weren’t lined up. Didn’t use their time out. And then gave up a sack. That’s all 49ers mistakes.
So again all the calls?

I think even Mahomes thought flags were flying when they weren't, as well as some SF players. A few times I've seen Mahomes & SF players put there hands on their head and look at the officials exasperated. And the officials were like we didn't throw a flag.

The most underrated part of the Super Bowl was the Chiefs defense. They showed up big time in the 2nd half when they had to. The offense gets all the glamour but their defense especially since the back end of the season has been terrific and they showed it in the 2nd half.

a. The ball over the plane and the receiver's foot out of bounds
or
b. The ball not over the plane and the receiver's foot not out of bounds
Neither of these scenarios are conclusive evidence. Therefore, you go with the call on the field, which was a touchdown. No refball here.

Yeah, gotta be honest I know Mahomes kept his cool and was the trendy pick, but I don't know how Williams wasn't the MVP. He was the only threat in the first half and forced the Niners to stay honest all game which paid dividends in the last Q. Plus 2 TDS and 3 clutch plays that kept drives going. Nothing against Mahomes at all.
Williams should have been MVP. He was consistent, made big plays happen, and made no mistakes. Mahomes helped dig the hole he got out of, only got MVP because he's a QB and 90% of fan votes are dummy casuals.
