Ridders numbers aren’t a story of the game WR really dropped like 8 passes that were spot on. Had those catches been made he would have been the best performing rookie for preseason week 1

I think its a little unfair to judge Ridder based on his numbers, he had half a dozen passes dropped that should not have been. Two or three of his best passes of the game were dropped. If those passes are to Pitts or (hopefully) London they are catches. Im not sold on Ridder just yet but if he does turn out to be good enough to be the franchise QB then the Falcons are in good shape going into next draft, lots of cap space coming free and if the first round pick isnt on a QB it frees them up to get a different position that they really need
