I’ve been waiting for him to play, he was the 3rd ranked QB and I expected him to be solid. I think he has potential to be the soul of the Broncos in the near future 💯.
I truly hope so. We also need to invest in an O line so that he'll be able to THROW the ball. This might of been the worst o line I've seen from this team in years.

He's got some of Jay Cutler in him, that's not a bad thing. Amazing arm talent, didn't look flustered one bit despite being hurried a lot. Just needs to rein in the risky throws a bit and he should be a viable starter, maybe more.
Exactly what I was thinking. Jay Cutler is the perfect comparison for him. He has one of the strongest arms in this year's rookie class plus it doesn't help he kinda looks like Jay Cutler as well.
The fun is back in Denver, someone who can throw it around the yard ! Never missed a Missouri game, this guy is pure entertainment on the field !
Needs to mix up the count, throw in a few audibles, get rid of the tunnel vision & pump fake it once in a while, otherwise a beautiful performance !
A lot of potential from this kid, has some accuracy issues at mid range and in some crossing routes but damn hes got a powerful arm and pretty mobile for his size. You can see he is a leader and that this team is already rallying behind him. Hope Elway finally got the QB for this franchise.

I suspect that might have contributed to the last incompletion on 3rd and 12. His placement was perfect, but he rocketed it to a guy standing 10 yards away from him that was wide open. You still expect NFL receivers to make that catch, but doesn't mean you shouldn't make their life easier. Still 90% the fault of the receiver though.

The Discussion, agreed. Lock only had 1 week with starters. Needs more games but a decent start for Lock. We need elite corners and tackles. Glad to know we have both a great WR in Sutton and RB with Lindsay. Just a couple of drafts away from contending.

@Tom Tom its not just once. He's had a ton of drops. I had Hope's for him, not any more. I still think Tim Patrick has potential though. He really shined in the end after Sanders was traded
Lock got potential when he was scrambling he was trying to tell lindsay or sutton to go down the field a little so he can throw , and on the 1st TD he told sutton to do that route

He was under a lot of pressure almost every play, but handled it pretty well. He clearly has the arm to hit his man anywhere on the field, he'll just have to get better at making the right play.
Made a few good throws, was impressive with his sensing pressure and pocket mobility, and he wasn’t afraid to throw the ball away when the play wasn’t there...so many qbs nowadays are always trying to force the pass when it’s not a good idea but there were a good 10-12 passes I just saw where lock made the right decision and lived to fight another down

BiG GHost We were horribly wrong but Lynch was a bust because he didn’t have the work ethic and mental toughness to play QB at the NFL level. Not because he didn’t have potential. Drew looks like he has a lot to learn and only time will tell if he improves

Watching Lock or Maty Mauk & MU play against all these SEC heavy weights in these huge venues is as good as it gets ! True, I am totally new to Bronco nation, until now !

I’m a bengals fan but will ALWAYS hold the broncos in high regard. Their cheerleaders came all the way to Khandahar for a 4th of July USO show (2005) which was freaking awesome in Itself. Even the Brits contributed entertainment the day prior. It was one big celebration for a few days straight. I believe the base Commander gave them the Flag and it flew above Mile High (I THINK) Just great great memories.

Already Know what are you talking about. He has 24 targets on the year and at least 5 or six of them have been terrible passes. I think the dropped TD against the raiders got in his head and now he’s trying to do too much.

It seems every play is hiked on the same exact count? isn't this a way the defense can anticipate better? Maybe you don't need to throw the defense off nowadays? every play was "ready set" or "ready hike" and that's it and easy for a Defensive lineman to anticipate.

Some good passes , bad drops , only 4 bad passes , the pass to to the outside of fant was smart but a little bit towards him on the right fant needs to go for the ball and know where the ball is going because he was trying to lead him to a good catch to get separation
BiG GHost true, but if you get it to him In stride or open space he can be a dangerous playmaker but he needs to do a better job locating the ball in the air
Thing with that throw is I’m sure it was rushed with pressure coming up the middle so I can’t fault Fant or Lock for that. Just a perfectly timed blitz by the Chargers

If the Broncos want Drew Lock to thrive they need to let him be Patrick Mahomes, I think he's capable of being a similar type of QB and being great, but if they don't let him make these side-armed crazy throws that Mahomes can make he'll never reach his full potential.

Those are good simple playcalls for a young QB. Scangarello is from the Kyle Shanahan coaching philosophy and those are a staple of their offense, which is top 5 in the league.
