    His 2014 season was hands down the most dominant season I’ve ever seen a defensive player have. 20.5 sacks, 29 tfl, 4 ff, 5 fr, 1 touchdown, had an 80 yard pick 6, 10 pass deflections, a safety, a blocked kick, and even caught 3 passes for 3 TDs on offense. It was indisputable who the best defensive player in the league was.

      JJ let getting sacks go to his head at some point. His last few years in Houston dude missed a lot of tackles over pursuing the runner or being out of position. After his hip surgery he lost that overwhelming power he possessed long arming OTs. This allowed OTs to engulfed JJ and by the time he would spend out or separate, JJ could get an arm on the RB or just barely miss him.

    JJ was everything for us in Houston. It gets lost because of the injuries but u have to remember JJ once won defensive player of the year and literally received all of the votes. And that same year was a finalist to win MVP as a defensive end. He literally changed the way we thought abt the 4/5 technique DE in the 3-4 defense cuz it was traditionally not a position that generated a lot of sacks. TJ is great but he gotta win a few more DPOY’s to catch his big bro as far as being better career wise.

    Much respect to tj. I agree with him. I've been a huge Steeler fan all my life and the only other player that I have ever been completely in love with that wasn't a Steeler is J.J. WATT. In his prime he was probably one of the top 15 most Unstoppable players to ever touch the field. And even to this day for some reason he holds a special place in my football heart. More so than tj somehow

    Prime JJ deserved to play for a contending franchise. Should have forced his way out instead of taking the contract after his rookie contract ended, but still has had an amazing career and he’s still good.
