Everyone keeps talking about Josh McDaniels this and that. Josh McDaniels started out as a defensive coach for the Patriots and it's shameful these so called analysts don't even know that.
That's true that you gotta start somewhere and defense can be the place. We can also assume they have big shoes to fill with his stability being there, but I don't see them falling off a cliff either.
Josh McDaniels made some questionable calls as an Offensive Coordinator in NE and he was a trash Coach in Denver. He could do better with the Raiders, but still.
I bet McDaniels will bring Raiders to play offs.

People forget it was Belichicks game plan against the Rams in the Super Bowl to hold the number 1 offense to 3 points. Brady didn't do that Bill did. Not having Brady definitely hurts but we can still compete and be competitive in our division. One thing I know about the NFL is anything can happen.

The Patriots scored the 6th most points in the NFL last season without any help from their defense and special teams which were, uncharacteristically, subpar. In the offseason, they've improved their talent on all three phases. And Josh McDaniels is one of the most overrated coaches in the game. His playcalling last season was awful. Kendrick Bourne called their new offensive scheme "dope." These people are all mediots.

I'm a 49ers fan and I'm sure the other real football fans know that in New England, Coach Bill does what he wants and has for years. He knows what he's doing while these pundits and a** hats KNOW NOTHING.

Well, you're clearly educated. And honest. Non Pats fans who analyze the situation just rely on wishful thinking and hopes hidden behind a fear that Mac Jones will be successfully groomed like Brady was.
Bill is the OC right now. And this has been Bill's offense since the start of the Pats. He's never brought in an OC from the outside to install "their system". He's always coached up guys from the inside. There is the turbulence of transition ahead though, both because the Pats have substantially revamped their offense this year, and because there will be a new play caller on Sundays. On the plus side, last year was the rookie year for Mac and the first year for a lot of veterans, and this year, they're all back, plus a few more playmakers, to the #6 scoring offense of last year. That kind of stability of personnel is the biggest factor in building on success. Yes there is uncertainty, but I think it's a far safer bet the Pats will improve on offense this year rather than struggle.
People don't like facts and reality, especially if it can be spun away from that reality by repeating the same rhetoric over and over so it will eventually be believed . Mocking very intelligent and successful people in our societ is the IN thing to do right now for some. So, some people think it's normal for Michael Robinson or some other moron to mock Bill Belichick. Only in the world of some would Michael Robinson's analysis here, as he can't even use the word "pare" down correctly, be the analysis that makes sense. I wish these people would go get the clinical help they need, admit they're so very jealous of the Pats dynasties AND admit what they're really conveying is wishful thinking veiled behind their real fear BB has his new Brady and will mold him very well on a cheap rookie deal, with 102 in cap space next year, and be done with it. NE is loaded on offense, with the 2 best TEs in the conference, a good OL, the best RB group in the conference, and arguably the deepest group of WRs 1-5 as well.

It's Joe Judge that is the OC. If Belichick gives him the official title of OC, then he has to pay him the equivalent of the Giants canceled contract. But if he keeps him at a level below OC, then the Giants have to honor their HC contract. Belichick is being penny wise but pound foolish as this will most likely complicate things for Mac Jones.
I think he can just say “Hey Mac listen to ____”. But you’re right about the money thing. It’s the same reason that they pay Brian Hoyer like a backup QB even though he’s lowkey their QB coach

The fact is, the AFC is deep, but there is no juggernaut team. NE can play with KC, Buffalo, Cincy, etc, etc. One really bad playoff game doesn't translate to the next season.
Honestly, the slander on our offense is crazy. Our passing wasn’t the worst last year and we added both Parker and an actual deep threat in Thornton. Not to mention we have one of the best running back cores in the league, yet they only wanna focus on the passing part of the offense when we have never been a full on passing team. They act like we gotta be like the bills and pass every single down when we are more of a run/balanced offensive style.
Watch the Pats beat Buffalo this year. The speed on D, versatility and "positionless" concept is all meant to go after Josh Allen. Jon Jone is back, Henry Anderson can help play some weakside 3-4 DE, Mack Wilson and McMillan down the middle are speed improvements at MLB and they added a sneaky good signing Rover in Jabril Peppers as well. The fact is, NE has a lot of 2nd year guys or newish players that the general public is simple unaware of. That unknown allows them to mock and lie about the truth.
As a Dolphins fan I love Parker but you need to figure out how to finally fix his hamstring. Dude has been injured for about 6 years straight and gets the smallest amount of separation of any receiver in the league. I was a little surprised they wanted to pair him with Jones to be honest.
They will struggle for sure but they have what it takes to build something special again.

I immediately disregard segments that call the Pats “a different organization without Tom Brady”. Was he an important part of their success? Absolutely. But Belichick was equally important since he was the DC and GM. And Brady wasn’t even very good until 2004, and wasn’t good in the 2018 Super Bowl either. The only years that Tom Brady was elite and they won the Super Bowl were 2014 and 2016, when had a top 8 and league-best scoring defense, respectively, coached by Mr Belichick. It is called SYNERGY.
These guys also seem to forget that Pats coaches and players only do well within the Patriots organization (with the exception of people named Brian). So I think Judge and Patricia will be fine.
If you mean the 2017- 2018 season and SB 52, he was very good. Maybe not HIS best with other stats, but throwing for over 500 yards is amazing in the SB.

A non Brady New England Patriots team Matt Jones controlled the team last year as a rookie quarterback. They have two above average tight ends Hunter Henry Smith#81. DeVante Parker, Jacobi Myers Nelson Agholor and Tyquan Thornton should provide a deep threat to the passing game. They have a strong running game if they don't finish in the top 10 in offense something went wrong.
Totally agree, i think the only thing we need is a above average corner who can lockdown in the clutch, once we get a good corner then we are definitely playoff contenders. Not superbowl bound YET but we definitely can make it deep in the playoffs.

Bill has essentially surrounded himself with YES men. At some point Bob Kraft is going to have to step in. Letting McDaniels walk was a mistake. They should have moved Belichick to the front office/GM type role and moved McDaniels to head coach.
Don't write them off before the season ends starts. Yes I think 3rd place and probably not a playoff team as a Pateiots fan but you can't just jump to the conclusion they're as bad as teams like the Texans or Jaguars just based on the offseason. At the very minimum, they will probably win at least 6 games.
