Mariota is easily the starter lmfao. He was more efficient and actually played against the starters. Ridder was good but inaccurate and careless at times. Mariota has this in the bag

As much as I liked Pickett in that first preseason game, there is no way he starts week 1. Never, ever, ever throw a rookie into the fire out the gates. They still have much to learn. As for the Panthers and Seahawks situation, it’s taking the lesser of two evils. I like Baker a little bit better than Darnold, given what he did in Cleveland. And I like Lock a bit better for Seattle because of the deep threat WRs he’s got. Last but not least, Mariota in Atlanta. Just like Pittsburgh, I don’t think you throw your rookie QB into the starting role immediately. Let them get adjusted to everything else first.

Ridder has shown so far he has a better grip on the offense. He's faster than Mariota to. Even if Mariota starts he'll be hurt in no time because he runs it every down.
@@Mind-Over-Body yikes! Never heard of a QB draw? When that happens, it’s the plays design. Mariota is faster by the way, game speed at least, don’t know about 40 speed. Mariota will start and play better than Ridder. As a Lions fan, that offense was ran much, much better with Mariota than Ridder.

I agree that drew lock deserves to be the Seahawks. He is the better option and I don’t think Geno can lead us to wins.
Geno went way passed expectation when he played last season. There were a few games where he put the Seahawks in a position to win & the defense blew it. Lock is known to throw games away & had an amazing defense on the Broncos. Not sure about that take.
@@brendanridgeway2524 if anything the defense put Smith in position to win but he blew it. Like the defense in the 3 games he started, the Seahawks defense allowed 7 points against the Jaguars, 23 points against the Steelers, and 13 points against the Saints. If Geno was better, he would’ve at least beaten the Saints. Like I didn’t expect him to beat the Steelers but we won’t go anywhere with him.

Anybody who thinks Mariota should be the starter obviously didn't watch the game. He gets the snap and takes off down field. He's incapable of reading the defenses and getting the ball down field to the playmakers.
