Turning old jewelry into pure gold bars

- Follow-up video on NileBlue (my second channel): • Cleaning up my gold waste
A few months ago, one of my patrons sent me a bunch of old gold jewelry for me to refine. I originally thought that it was going to just be some gold plated stuff, but it turned out to be quite a bit of gold. I was able to purify out all of the gold and then melt them down into some small 24K pure gold bars.

You’re kind of obligated to be honest in a situation like that. By any means, even if it were greed.
That gold was worth less than $4,000. His video brought in more money than that. And not only that, if he were to scam them out of their gold, he would potentially lose all credibility and his channels would be finished. (They both make hundreds of thousands combined annually)

Isn't my area of knowledge per se, but its a datejust 36 16203 (80s). @@lukaszerecinski5376 my guess is that it was just replaced. I feel like if someone was trying to pass a counterfeit there’s no way they would use a crystal with such an ugly cyclops 😭 but idk. Good news: he didn’t destroy it
Oh wow. A oyster! Having a oyster is on my bucket list along with owning a automatic watch
Very good video! I love watching educational vids like this one, love learning new things especially about the metals I love, like silver and gold! Good job with it all the way through. Beautiful bars of gold my friend!
I like how this guy has literally hundreds of dollars worth of gold just in his hand and his first instinct is "Let's drive a hammer through it"
why not. its not valued based on its condition or form
@@dylanburns8759 I guess but I just find it hilarious
Thousands*
for science i guess
literally thousands, actually.
Nile: what a lovely chunk of gold, this is more than I've ever held!
Also Nile: let's put massive holes in it.
I was thinking the same thing
@@Noah-lj2sg still a hole ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s eye opening, but what about the chemical waste? How to dispose
@@RigJig
It doesn't decrease the value
Gold can be scratched or broken and won't lose its value
@@AmeenAlnaimi still a hole ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Literally the first Nilered video I ever watched.
That was sooooo satisfying!
“This is all really quite simple...”
