Look on the bright side: Capcom did say USF2 was their interest check to see how well stuff sold on the Switch. It sold well enough for them to decide to support the Switch. So in a roundabout way you had a hand in making this happen.

Not to mention arcade accurate versions of the first 5. Before this collection, the most arcade accurate SF2 on a Nintendo home console was Super SF2 SNES back in 1994, around 24 years ago! Let that sink in for a second. Over the span of 5 consoles since SNES that could have more than handled it not one effort by Capcom was made to at least port ONE of the collections over from long ago. Yet had the nerve to allow for the rerelease of the SNES games AND the Genesis games on VC while every other system got the real deal whether it was the collections or HDR.
And before anyone mentions them, the GB, GBA games do not count.

But this has the version directly prior to Ultra SF II, not counting it's HD remaster. As PART of this collection, which is the same price as that one game. 2 extra characters, one of which is in the Alpha series, also included in the collection, isn't worth that. :/

We have to be sure if this version of Alpha 2 has Evil Ryu in it, as the SNES version doesn't. Besides, this is probably gonna be as good as SF and Switch gets, unless they put some version of SF4 on Switch.

Everyone needs to buy Street Fighter 30th Anniversary collection for Nintendo Switch. Let's show Capcom that we want to see more brand new games, more collections, etc come to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo should also help revive some of Capcom's other IP's.

A lot of people have been champing at the bit for a Resident Evil 2 remake. Thing is, however, I already have Street Fighter II on my SNES Mini. I'm just not too interested in getting another version. It is nice to see the original Street Fighter get some recognition, though.

Mega AWESOME!!!! I've been a hardcore Street Fighter arcade fan since the early 1990's. I love the first Street Fighter arcade game, Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition, and the Street Fighter 2 series of game editions. I already have Ultra Street Fighter 2 The Final Challengers for Nintendo Switch and am addicted to it.

Man am I glad that this game offers a wide screen option that removes the decorative bars at the edge of the screen. I have an OLG OLED E6 4K tv and it can get image retention and I've done everything to avoid that lol! I've been enjoying this game big time with my 6 year old son. 😎 awesome way to bond.

But now that this newer better more complete game is coming out it literally renders the other game useless and unnecessary. Yea at the time they needed it to gauge interest but now people who bought that game are going to feel totally betrayed.

Can I ask though, was that version ported to anything else. I seem to remember hearing the psp D pad had a similar reputation to the switch D pad, in the sense that It was not Ideal.

That would have to be a port, and this entire collection is based on emulation of the respective systems these games were made in. I will say though, that at the minimum I would hope for the Alpha Anthology’s SFA3 Upper as a hidden game, as that was based on a modified version of arcade A3 with the home version characters added in.
