I heard they also had their little brother press the buttons on the keyboard for them to code the whole game too. Honestly quite incredible.

I really love how these indie showcases allow the creators and developers to speak about their games. I hope that VideoGameDonkey guy does well!

I am SO excited to see Mineko’s Night Market on here! I’ve been following their development for a few years and I’m psyched to see a new trailer and get more info about release dates.
(Also, got kinda happy that the sun god cat Neko looks like my cat Neko, and their names are even pronounced the same way haha!)

This Indie World Showcase is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get, but you always end up feeling satisfied.
Mama always said, life is like a Nintendo Indie Showcase..
Rift of the necrodance looks really nice, if they add different modes and difficulties is gonna be great.
Indie trailers were so bittersweet during the Wii U era. You didn't really know if the game was going to happen or not. So glad the Switch is popular
It wasn't because the Wii U wasn't popular, it was because Nintendo was stubborn and closed minded towards indies on those times

@@chinkram that can be said for a lot of indie games but I was talking about games that either had Wii U as a Kickstarter option or otherwise had a trailer with the intention of coming to Wii U.
Look it up, there was an article 5 or so years ago about 50+ cancelled games. Some of them still haven't made it over to the Switch (and these games were _definitely_ coming to Wii U, or so we thought) despite Nintendo being more open minded toward indies

Easily the biggest surprise here is SteelWool getting Security Breach to run on the switch.

This was a surprisingly good indie world! Hopefully that donkey guy will be back to announce Knack 3 in the next showcase!
Seeing Dunkey here on an Official Nintendo presentation was a surprise, great to see Big Mode's taking off. Good luck to them & Animal Well's Dev team.

I was hoping for but not expecting that gameplay reveal of Blasphemous 2, and the fact that it's releasing this Summer!!!
Im surprised it’s coming this year but I’m not complaining that’s awesome
True, I'm very excited for that one also. The first Blasphemous was a visually stunning game. I must say that the gameplay isn't exactly to my taste because I'm extremely bad at video games (cleared the game and NG+ though), but I'll get B2 because I'm in love with the Catholic aesthetics.
10/10 Indie World presentation. We got Bigmode's first game, another Necrodancer installment, Loathing, Blasphemous 2 footage, Teslagrad 2 reveal, Oxenfree 2 reveal. This show brought the big guns out blazing. So much indie goodness.

Congrats to Bigmode for their first game. I love what I saw of _Animal Well,_ both the visual aesthetic and the gameplay itself. Simple inputs, in complex dynamic engine, in a sprawling 2D map = I'll be purchasing that, thank you.
Props to Brace Yourself Games for being one of the few studios carrying the rhythm game genre on its back.
Teslagrad 2 just looks beautiful.
Crime O'Clock is giving me Obra Dinn vibes. Not the aesthetic or practice, but the level of uniqueness to its approach to the mystery genre. Hard to gauge with just a peek, though.
*Very* glad to see the legendary and loathsome Asymmetry Publications still pouring their unmatched brand of comedy gold upon the underserving masses. The only studio capable of metahumor so powerful that fans will notice that they just shadowdropped a game with "Shadows" in the title.

I'm not about to defend the case that any wealthy executive nor their marketing agents have ever designed an advertisement with _"respect"_ as a factor.
But I am going to remind you that the purpose of an advertisement is to *sell* things, not hide them from us.
As for the reason these shows aren't 1-to-1 between Nintendo of Japan and US is due to the discrepency of global release/translation gaps. Not every English-speaking dev has their Japanese release dates on lock, and vise versa. So the showcases are made as apropos.
Now that you are made aware of this, you should be pleased that we get our showcases handcrafted to our timetable. Other countires and their seven-thousand languages are stuck to watch our showcase and hope it vaguely corresponds to them.

I absolutely loved Blasphemous, the dark narrative coupled with the disturbing and horrific atmosphere and visuals made it an amazing and unforgettable experience, seriously looking forward to the sequel.
Please, let's not forget the Soundtrack.

Although a bit buggy, My time at Portia was a fantastic carpentry-like crafting game! I had a blast and was so hooked on that game! Looking forward to the sequel!!

So excited for My Time at Sandrock! I have been playing it on PC for a while now and it is so much fun, it will be great to have it on Switch.
Lol, I had more questions about the games in the last 2 minutes than most of the presented ones. That Mobius aesthetic game looks neat and I'm glad we have a release date for the Jetset Radio reboot. Indie studios do what I'm too scared to do so I'm glad they're making stuff and it's not all farm sims.
the phrase you're looking for is spiritual successor, not reboot. but yeah, those are the only two games that really grabbed my attention.

BLASPHEMOUS II
One or my favorite Metroidvanias that came with so much free DLC and memorable music, one of the few games that actually made me look forward to each New Game+ run and the fact that there's more weapons to choose from in the sequel (especially that air dash) looks incredible
