@@chileanyways9075 Sothis gives Byleth power over the flow of time. We’ve seen her freeze time and rewind it, but always from the perspective of Byleth. In this, we see her seemingly teleporting around, when in reality she’s moving when time is frozen. Dio style. They’ve essentially turned a standard gameplay feature into a terrifyingly powerful and cool game ability.

It's weird when you think about it but makes perfect sense.
We saw Divine Pules turns time back and for the whole world, which means for everyone nothing changes beside Byleth who sometimes seems to predict the future. This is the catch however: this is Sothis's power, not Byleth's power. It stands to reason Sothis can turn time forward as well. In that case still nothing changes looking at it from the outside. It's just time moving faster.
Can Sothis do it for individuals? According to the trailer, duh, of course she can. We literally see Byleth zipping around. But Sothis and Byleth are one so it makes sense specifically for Byleth to do it. This is pretty much how Tracer from Overwatch can "teleport".
The real question is: can Sothis do it for literally anyone? Not only Byleth or everyone at once.

I agree! My favorite is Constance- however, I'm a bit confused about her new design. Her character bio in three houses literally says modesty is one of her favorite things, but now her new outfit is a bit revealing. Still, can't wait to play!

Because lets be honest, her normal personality when in the shade doesn't seem to be the kind for modesty (also, in Three Houses, her likes and dislikes are divided, with those for the normal personality been stated first, then those for her alternate one been in paranthesis, and I think some likes of her normal self are dislikes of the other and vice versa)

I actually always thought Dimitri would be the Lu Bu to be honest. Specifically his post timeskip self.

If it weren't specifically Three Houses focused, I'd think the Lu Bu of this game would've been the Black Knight, since that's how he functions gameplay wise in Path of Radiance.
I'll admit though, seeing Byleth manipulate time through another person's lens is a pretty Lu Bu-ish sight.

Headcanon: The Ashen Wolves got into the base game just so Constance can declare the long awaited house Nuvelle's claim to glory.

Yeah I agree. Personally, I’m getting strong red herring vibes from Byleth here. It feels as if they are setting Byleth up to be the villain in the trailers to misdirect us from a greater evil force that may be pulling the strings. I’m really eager to see how the story unfolds!

@@chifu4040 I played the demo for about an hour and honestly there’s a lot going on. Without getting into spoilers, the story deviates from the Three Houses canon VERY quickly(not counting the obvious deviation(s) that take place in the first chapter to set up the story)

The only problem is that Edelgard dose actually want to conquer all of Fodlan as she belives she is the only one who can "fix" Fodlan and is to stubborn/Prideful to allow the other nations to run themselves.
So unless Edelgard changes on that they can't be a golden route.

You're not actually saying anything confirmed. Nothing about the characters in the trailer are all confirmed as playable. Unless you think Randolph and Fleche are now playable too, since they were in the trailer? NPC exist.

@@l.n.3372 i mean in the first warriors game, the npcs did end up as dlc. the only ones who werent playable were the evil mages (gharnef, validar and iago), the twins mother and darios. if we do get some sort of history mode to unlock characters (id assume trickster anna instead of awakening anna), then we prolly will get fleche and or randolph in some sort of caliber, history mode or dlc (unless they end up as enemies).

You're gonna have a long wait then. mainline FE games aren't pumped out at regular intervals unlike Pokémon games which come out every 3 years.

​@@_Just_Another_Guy Yeah, but usually by now we're aware that the next one is in the works. Most FE games come out roughly 2-3 years apart, but we've still heard no word about the next mainline one which is kind of a bummer.
I'm glad there's more FE content for folks that want it like FEW:3H, but I really hope the wait isn't gonna be that much longer, otherwise it'll be the longest hiatus between FE titles.

2015 - Fates

@@_Just_Another_Guy no, that’s not how it works. This is almost entirely Koei Tecmo’s work, just like Three Houses was. The last game the main FE team at IS made was Echoes, all the way back in 2017. I’d say it’ll be less than a year before the next turn based one is announced.

@@forjqoijasd I played it only on the handheld mode so I probably didn't noticed everithing, but the frame rate was solid most of the time with occasional frame drop during certain special animations like the "duo special attack".

Judging from the demo and how characters that were prominent in Three Houses but never were actually playable before but became playable now (Monica and Rodrigue for example) - I think we will get a playable Jeralt - as long as he doesn't die, of course.

Well, to me it seemed like Shez was fighting against Jeralt in this specific trailer. And from the last trailer (I think that it was that one? Or was it the first? Anyway…) he was either badly wounded or worse; Sothis also spoke of some sort of revenge too. Perhaps because of all this, Byleth starts to have a personal vendetta at stake? Remember how vengeful they were and how their moniker as the Ashen Demon was an apt description when they literally hunted Kronya as she was running away in fright.

@@metroidjaeger8193 She's just like Edelgard and Dimitri. They're all grey characters who are traumatised by what happened to them. They're not evil, they just need someone who can make them stay on the right path.

@@jkarma3356 Not really, because she is a grey character, and portraying her as the devil would just be spitting on her character's background. In Crimson Flower, she felt very out of character, even though she was very entertaining.

Something has clearly gone sideways, I am intrigued. Now if only my Switch could connect to my college's wifi.
