Usually that's true, but this time I mean it. It's nice to see a mode that won't have everyone ticked off by the end of the night. I'll play this mode with family and younger kids and the hardcore modes with friends that can handle the salt mines!

Except it isnt the main mode, it actually looks good, it isnt on a board so it doesnt go agains the point of the game and you actually fully work together

I love what Nintendo is doing with their games for the Switch! Its like a reboot of each game or a fresh take of sorts instead of another sequel. Gives me hope that the next Pokemon game isn't a linear story like always or maybe even a new Mario Strikers!
Ray Blade a new mario strikers sounds great but while I do hope the next Pokémon is great, Nintendo themselves don’t make the games, game freak are the ones who develop them and while I would rather wait and see what they have to show, i don’t really trust game freak at the moment considering that gen 6 was left unfinished and was hindered by some stupid decisions (e.g. battle frontier being removed because kids don’t have the attention span to try it. No I’m not joking that was their excuse) and gen 7 was not planned out very well after sun and moon (and sun and moon were obviously rushed out and it shows as well with it suffering from some the same problems XY had and there being empty areas). If the 2019 title is shown to be Fantastic and is fantastic then I may trust them again.
Really wanting Open World Pokemon
They should fix the Paper Mario series and continue the Earthbound/Mother series. Although Reggie's body doesn't seem to be ready for one of them.
personally I don’t think it’s a necessity for the series to go open world but if they did, I feel that having it be structured like octopath is the best way they could do it where the story is broken up into chapters. And routes and chapters can show a recommended level to give the player a heads up how difficult that area/chapter might be. That way they could do an open world game without sacrificing the story too much. The one thing the series does need is an overhaul to the trainer AI because honestly they are almost as stupid as the aliens from Aliens: colonial marines sometimes and their team composition needs improvements because I don’t want to face a full team of level 60 magikarps and just spam thunderbolt, it’s boring and a waste of time especially considering that at that point of the game, the trainers should be somewhat tough.

They brought back the cart from 9/10 and made it actually good
The cart ultimately only served the purpose of completely destroying all player interaction and control in the board phase. That's why it was bad. This goes in a completely different direction of actually fostering player effort and honestly is more of a cooperative mode, which is a crazy decision for Mario Party, but it actually looks like it works great.

No it's just a new mode with a boat it's called River Survival. Normal mode is just classic Mario Party there is no car.

Looks amazing. Definitely a great mode for groups of friends. But I hope that hitting rocks, cheap cheaps, etc. actually take time away. This will make it harder, which I think this mode needs. At least have harder difficulty an option. The mini games could also be more difficult.

Since they returned to the main game mode that everyone loved, I imagine people will be a lot more open to working together in side modes.
Now all what's missing to make the Switch perfect:
-Super Kirby Air Ride
-Super Mario Strikers Extreme

Oh cool, a co-op mode that doesn't suck! I'm personally more excited for the return of the classic Mario Party gameplay, but this looks like it could be a lot of fun to play with my friends.

Again, a good solution for Mario Party online is replacing players with CPUs if they decide to leave the game. Mario Kart already does this

This game unveils the mighty power of the Goomba. Even though they are the first ones to get stomped on in nearly every Mario Game, they could treat their feet just like arms.
Will there be a harder mode? Getting the highest rank possible seem too easy!
These are paid Nintendo employees, they probably had alot of practice and theyre all cooperating. I got the friends that either suck at ALL games or they would purposely lose for the fun factor 😂

Those mini game's, All of them, looked baby mode easy. I get the simplicity of it, but it would so much nicer if the mini games where head to head events. Like Bumper balls( Mario party 1) Gota admit though, the raft concept is pretty cool.
These are co-operative minigames made for this MODE. there are multiple competitive modes with their own, competitive minigames.
This mode looked fun, and I get that MP is about simplicity.. But getting S ranks when they had plenty of room for improvements just dosen't sit right with me. Things like that is what makes me feel playing certain games pointless.
This is a step in the right direction, I like it

Now if only the online multiplayer supported the main game and it'd be perfect.
Minigames are online, don't think anything else is, but it would be kind of hard for a 10-50 minute game without players dropping out.
I've run MMORPG raids that go for 3+ hours with randoms. Partying short 10-20 round games with randoms would be cool. Also mostt people ask for this so they're able to party with friends, who wouldn't just randomly leave.
There's just no reason for Mario Party to still have no full online mode for friends atleast. Random Matchmaking wouldn't need to be a thing, but atleast that.
Look's pretty fun! but I'm afraid that seems too easy... hope it can increase difficulty or something like that
I hope this was easy mode because it never seemed like they were pressed for time. Past the first game of something like this all tension would be lost knowing that you still had almost 3 minutes to spare.

Online boards with random people would not work due to people ragequitting. It would be nice to be able play boards online with friends only. However part of the experience of mario party is when all are in the same room as people to see the whole range of emotions and salt

Bleh. That sucks. They’ve certainly done Toad as an announcer before but I know at least in games like 9 they were differently colored so the possibility was still there. No fair. ;-;
Yeah here he's a red Toad and he wasn't in any minigame so he's probably not playable :( Understandable, I love Toads and Toadette and I'm kinda sad they aren't playable but oh well, at least they are in the game and the roster is still really good!
