Yeah. Prominent Zelda KRplusrs PICKED THIS TRAILER APART piece by piece! I think the only things they missed were the stone on Ganondorf's forehead and the Zonai translation on Rauru's hand trail (although that's because we couldn't. Are we able to now?).

I just think Nintendo dropped the ball in general when it comes to "non-main" gameplay elements. I still yearn for a "peaceful hyrule mode" postgame after defeating Ganon; getting to roam around an actual happy and peaceful Hyrule; visiting Zelda from time to time and maybe having some mundane little quests and events afterwards. But still great games; I just... WANTED THAT SO BAD EVER SINCE ALTTP 😭

My theory was that they didn't want to show the entrance and having a four legged creature in the screen time would officially answer too many questions.

It’s weird how many things didn’t end up being used from this trailer! For example, the thumbnail where we see what is now Rauru’s hand merging with Links arm while in the actual game itself, Link just kinda wakes up in the Room of Awakening with it after being saved by Rauru
I think it would’ve been better to see the arm merge but then again it wouldn’t make sense to the story so
After the beating the game, I can say that not only has the game lived to the hype, but surpassed it in every way. Truly the way modern gaming should go.
Because the trailers were so mysterious it was definitely disappointing to me. But that’s only cos we each set up our own expectations, so when they eventually don’t get met obviously it’s going to be a little disappointing

I'm a little disappointed that they eliminated the idea of the right arm power just absorbing into Link's arm, or that they scratched the idea of Link and Zelda traveling the caverns on whatever that giant animal was, however, I do like that they originally made the champion's tunic with the same armor pieces as the original hylian tunic, and in the finished game, they changed it up a bit to make it more interesting to look at.
What made you think it was just absorbing into his arm?

This trailer compared to totk, the environment and the green swirl of Rauru's hand are so much more polished and high quality, it really goes to show how taking long development times truly can polish a game to perfection.

@@Mylestrom What do you mean tighter combat? I think botw had some of the best melee combat I've played in the last decade. More interesting enemies would be cool tho. Most of them were really easy once you got their attack pattern.

Revisiting this, I'm surprised how true to the game it was. Not a lot was changed. There wasn't a luminous stone bridge or that ox--esque creature, or any creature at all in their exploration of the depths. But their discovery of Ganondorf is almost frame-for-frame the same as the reveal. That's impressive. I also still love that reverse sounding melody in music. It's still there in the final release, but it's not a direct motif to any character, and not Ganondorf's theme directly, just a foreboding theme, but it's so good.

The way the game was released this was super early in development there’s no sign of sky islands in this. I remember being hyped for this when I beat breath of the wild in 2019 spent a lot of hours on my switch
