The GB can hold up to 30h with 4 batteries. But yeah, if you bought crappy ones that only last 5h, sure. Today you use eneloop and play. If you don't know what eneloop is, google it. (i use them since 2012 and never had to buy more batteries)

Nintendo has begun releasing some of their older games that had never left Japan officially, so we can always hope.

Why not just lump all of the first 6 together? Or better yet remake them in Octopath's engine.

@@GordonComstock602 Honestly, I absolutely adore the Octopath Traveller visuals but they wouldn't fit classic FF at all. However, I do think it would be pretty amazing if the next brand new SaGa game was on the OT engine.

Nintendo Switch online isn't free though.

1. (At least thus far), Switch Online only covers Online Multiplayer, NES, and SNES
2. Non Nintendo first party devs don't really like to port over their games; and only really do so with their abandoned franchises (Breath of Fire, Crystalis)

What do you mean by "on the go"? The only systems the original SaGa trilogy have ever been on are all handhelds(Gameboy, Wonderswan Color, and DS)

Collection of SaGa. Not FF. The FF in the title was just to sell more copies back in the day. These games are SaGa 1, 2, and 3.

What exactly is the point of this comment? It's not like nintendo read comments on a video they uploaded for square to market their game. It's not even a 1st party game. And if you wanna say something to nintendo, I believe stuff like free melee and splatoon or their limited releases is a little more important then folders. The SaGa series was created by the same team who made Final Fantasy II for the NES (the FF game with the weird level up system where you get stronger by beating yourself up). The major difference between the two series is that while Final Fantasy is a box standard RPG with all the mechanics and story progression you are used to, SaGa games tend to throw all that out the window for more experimental systems. This give SaGa a very unique experience that differs from all other RPGs, but also makes a lot of the games notoriously impenetrable since often times said systems are barely explained in game meaning you have to "Figure it out yourself".

Yeah, that'd be pretty awesome for them to put on the online app! It'd be doubly amazing if they did a full translation of the Super Famicom version of FFV and brought it over, as well, since both of the """modern ports"""" of V and VI on phone are absolutely horrendous.

Only option is the original Game Boy color. It isn't that bad, when you play for a few minutes.

Even Nintendo ditched it with the Game Boy Pocket, which I got as soon as I could. It had other improvements, but the display really made it worth getting. Weird that the collection doesn't offer both.
Would be trivial to add. Maybe they'll patch it in.

The problem is that Tactics PS1 is the best of the games, and the other two just get worse and worse. Tactics Advance is one of those games that's awesome in every way but the Judge system literally ruins the entire game. Plus the tonal shift between games is WAY too massive to make a collection out of them.

it doesn't say that. Look why does it matter if something is for a limited time anyway? By that logic we should harass Kelloggs every time a cereal is made for a limited time. The games are still gonna be on shelf after the limited time. It's not like people in black suits are coming in on the day after and taking them all back. That's silly.

SaGa Frontier is actually getting a remaster that's including all of the cut content from the original game, and SaGa Frontier II is likely next since they've been remastering all of the other SaGa games lately

@@garrettaldridge549 I agree. Mystic quest nowhere near the best game in the series but it's soundtrack is great. it was quite the weird situation with the European game mystic quest. That was actually the first game of the mana series which we called ff adventure. When ff mystic quest came out in Europe it was rebranded as mystic quest adventure

That game was dead easy, but I played it almost as much as the SaGa collection.

I kind of have no faith in Square to do it justice, though. Odds are a remake of VI at this point would have hack and slash combat, add 50 hours of padding, rewrite the story and change just about everything they can.

Sephiroth is a Final Fantasy character. Despite the localized name, this isn't an FF game. It's SaGa.
