I like how Hat Kid is just kinda there. Like she doesn’t fit in whatsoever and it’s never acknowledged or explained, she’s just there.
I'm sure completely OP as well. I'd keep her as a secret unlockable, but I think they're betting that people'll buy just for her cameo.

I'm one of the few that hasn't played A Hat in Time yet, so while it's cool to see Hat Kid, I'm really interested in the game in general. That song is a bop and I love the art style.
I'm definitely very excited for the setting and the lore! Hat Kid is a nice bonus but you can be sure I'm here primarily for the rest of the cast as well as the Tunche!

Honestly, adding Hat Kid to this game was a genius move of the devs.
If it weren’t for Hat Kid, we’d simply see this game as a polished indie Beat Em Up, and honestly, probably completely gloss over it. It looks like a good game, but in a world where there are dozens of games coming out every week, it would get lost in the shuffle.
And many people would just not buy it, cause none of us have infinite money to buy everything, nor have infinite time to play everything.
I would have still gotten it, but I get what you're saying. It's the whole idea behind sponsorships and guest appearances.
If Hat Kid keeps this up, she might even start to rival Shovel Knight
That basically the truth, I see nothing special about this game, it looks good and nice but I’m not invested by any of the character and already have invisible which same thing but made by people who did skullgirls
I tried the demo of this game about a year ago, it's a fun game.

To those saying Hat Kid doesn't fit in this game, in A Hat in Time she had to deal with Italian Mafia with Russian accents, a disco penguin and Scottish raptor obsessed with making movies, a ghost that went to law school, and a feline Yakuza. This game is just another regular Tuesday to her.

It isn't stated what kind of bird he is, he works with owls but he looks way too different (such as having massive teeth) to be one.
