Now THIS looks like the Mario Party I wanted. The only complaint I have is I still feel like there aren't enough boards, I really wish we could get more than 5. But at least it's one more than Super Mario Party, and they're classic boards, AMD they're actually BIG boards. Release more N64 boards in future updates perhaps? At that point I think we have ourselves a winner here.
Tbh, I expect that we'll get more maps via free updates in the future but IDK about that
I think it would've been great if this was included as DLC to Super Mario Party- even if they made us pay for it, rather than being an entire game on its own

If they really nail it with this Mario party game there is no need to make a new Mario party for a while. Just add more dlc with maps and minigames and it will be epic.
That’s not feasible for them though. Coming from a financial stand point giving the ppl what they want would mess things up. Their way allows them to make more money cause we’ll by the next new thing 😵💫😵💫😔😔😔
This will probably be the last switch Mario party game so the next one will come out on the next console in like 5 years

If this happens, then we are just seeing live service at this point, and knowing from what we saw with games like The Sims, it shows even DLC can be a disgusting way to make a profit. If they do DLC, I hope they do Board Packs. Maybe 2 or 3 boards for like no more than $10USD a piece. Btw, they only said 5 from the N64 Era. There could be more, but I won't hold my breath.

What wrong with Star Rush? It’s basically Tactical Mario Party where you recruit allies to take on bosses! And considering that they made it so that everyone moves at once, (which will happen again in Mario Golf Super Rush) it can’t be that bad, can it?
Super hyped for this! Just a little disappointed that there are only 5 boards considering that all boards are remakes of N64 era boards. I feel like increasing it to 10 would have been great as the N64 titles had so many truly fantastic boards.

@@waled7564 Super Mario Party never received any new boards via DLC updates, it was basically abandoned asides from expanding online play. I expect the same to be done here.
When there is first Time a full Online Mode than there is the first time DLC's. I wanna play ALL N64 Boards in Superstars. I would pay everything for it.

All of the Mario Party games have six or less boards, except for 1, 5, 9, and Island Tour
They specifically mentioned boards from the n64 games so there’s still a chance we could get some from the GameCube era

You can tell from the Treehouse where they play Space Land they aren't unfortunately. Tbf they would have to design new costumes for the non-MP2 boards, but they definitely added to the experience.

I was really excited about this game, but it seems like Bowser is not a playable character. I really loved and enjoyed super Mario l, it was so awesome Bowser was a playable just like everyone else. I will sadly not be getting this game. Bowser is my all time favorite out of all other characters. Come on Bintendo please let Bowser be playable. I was really excited when I seen the trailer. I was just like oh look a new Mario party. It seems like Bowser is not playable especially since I seen the Bowser space, and I am no longer excited. I wish Bowaer could always be part of everything like everyone else. I wish Bowser could get his own series too, but Inknow that’s probably not going to happen. Oh well it’s not the end of the world it just really blows. 😔😭

Apparently Mario Party 2 is the only MP game where your character dress up corresponding to stage theme except the last board. Kinda sad this amazing feature didn't added to other future MP games.
This was my favorite thing announced here, mainly because of space land, that map is super fun.

At this point, Nintendo could just remake the N64 Mario Parties. Its been a long long time so the games would be fresh
Isn't MPSS just that? It has N64 Boards, most of the minigames are from that era, and all the items come back.
The first one would be a problem though because of the control stick minigames
Seriously, this is what they should have been doing in the first place, its so weird that now they're finally doing Mario Party right, with an All-Stars Greatest hits approach. What's also really funny about what this direction presents is that its shutting up all the people that have been saying "classic Mario Party can't return cuz Hudson owns Mario Party game design mechanics or whatever" and "online mode in classic style Mario Party board game modes would never work, so Nintendo shouldn't ever add them in!"

I grew up playing Mario Party 2 on the 64 with my brothers. It is insane seeing the maps and mini games now on the switch look amazing, so hyped
Me, my uncle, and my sister's fav mario party to play is Mario party 2 on are Wii (We only have 2, 8, and 10, we all hate 10 though ;-;) so i really wanna get this one!
I grew up playing the original Mario party. One time i tore open some skin on my palm while trying to win the paddle battle mini game. I did win but i am not sure it was worth it lol.

Yeah, this feels like an apology for how lacking Top 100 was.
And it's working. I want this so badly.
This is such a gratifying release. After trying to innovate and make things shiny to get people interested they finally realized that they had the formula right at the beginning. Seeing the dice blocks go up to 10 immediately just feels right. I hope the items and other elements of the old games come back. Now I can forget about Super Mario Party. Thank goodness.
I mean I agree but SMP wasn't all that bad and seemed like a step in the right direction! I just hope that after this we can get a new Mario Party in the same style as MPS and the old games!
I love that everyone who grew up with the originals all agree that this is the best version of Mario party. This shouldn’t have been this difficult to put together. I’m so excited for this game though I have no problem replaying SMP for the hype
Well... Super Mario Party did not live up to the originals, but I can atleast thank that ND cube has tried to go back to the roots, not all developers do that today.

I also skipped Super Mario Party. This game looks so good, and the graphics are incredible and capture the tone of the original with a fresh new coat of paint.

Only 9 playable characters have been confirmed so far (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Waluigi, Birdo and Rosalina) so I’m guessing they will either match Super Mario Party’s number (20) or go even higher. Daisy and Bowser are certs for the playables, so Pauline could definitely be there too.

I Wish that the Miis join the Roster. So that the Miis can actually be playable with the Mario and Friends Characters in the Boards and the Minigames. For example; like My Mii, Mario, Rosalina, and Wario in one of 5 Boards and the 100 Minigames.

I the gameplay of MP6 was the best. Making blue and red spaces into item and trap spaces definitely made way for cool strats.

Wow Nintendo is giving us the goods. I would say that the older Mario party games were definitely the best ones. I am actually really excited about this. The boards do seem a bit smaller but the new HD graphics look amazing.

just play the N64 version on emulator, it's abandonware so there is no reason to wait to play the Switch game just because of these boards you have never played.

I hope the board goals are different too, like one where the star is fixed in place. One where the highest invester gets the star, one where the price for star changes, etc.

Yes! Mario party 2 had the best boards, 4 the best minygames, and 6/7 the best board mechanics. just combine those 3 and add online multiplayer plus battle bode and boom easily the best in the series

I am amusing the roster is all the characters from the 64 games with Rosalina and Birdo as a bonus, which means Daisy would be here. Would be silly for them to at least not all the characters from the games they're remastering.
I just checked the wiki of the game and Daisy’s name is not there 🤬😭😭😭😫. I hope they include her on the official release or I won’t be buying this!
I thought I heard from someone that she was there so there's that. Plus, it doesn't make sense to have the main roster be an odd number of characters to choose from (unless they did in previous games and I don't remember).

It's time for the Mario Party series to have a blast to the past! Again!
Is there any chance this game can include boards from the Gamecube series (Mario Party 4-7)? And what about Mario Party 8? Not to mention adding in the minigames from Mario Party DS, Mario Party Island Tour, Mario Party Star Rush, & Super Mario Party. Will there be any Boss minigames (like the ones from Mario Party 9,10, etc...)? We still have yet to see if the Koopalings will show up in the Mario Party series...

This makes me happy, the Peach cake gets me so nostalgic of playing with my cousins way back on N64. Hope we also get Luigis engine room. And to be honest they should’ve done this a long time ago, kind of like how Mario Kart always brings back old circuits. There are some really good boards from MP1-8 that need to be brought back. Hopefully a game like this implies that they will have DLC boards every now and then.
We want to see Mario Party DS mini games and Horror Land board !!!

Dude, the reason they do this is so people don't have to got back to the direct and find the trailer. They can instantly just go to Nintendo's KRplus channel, find the video and watch the trailer at ease. Your just complaining because you don't have good content.
