Looks a lot like momodora. Makes me want to try it.... Recommend momodora if you haven't played it
This game has been available on PC for awhile, and it's a very unique entry in the genre, sort of a mix of survival horror and a metroidvania. It isn't very long but for $5-10 or whatever they're going to be charging, it's well worth the price. I would recommend it to anyone who likes side-scrollers/metroidvanias, but be warned, it is a hard, fairly unforgiving game, but that is by design due to it's survival horror aspect. The developer really nailed the dark, oppressive, almost hopeless feel of the game's atmosphere, which is part of what made it such a unique experience from start to finish. It's one of those games that I wish I could forget everything about, so I could play through it again for the first time.

@@Thundra1000 Yes, every second of it. Big-time Metroidvania fans will know it’s a more complicated question than it seems. It could be a ‘pure Metroidvania’ or a game with some ‘Metroidvania elements’. And regardless, there’s also the sub-genres of ‘RPG Metroidvania’ or ‘Souls-like Metroidvania’. After doing some online research, it’s clear that there are least some elements of a Metroidvania game here.
So my question is more so, to what extent is it or is it not a Metroidvania?

@@MaledictusXCII not my point. The whole metroid formula is tired at this point. Coming and going in the same hallways looking for secrets in ridiculous places. This formula got tired in 1998.
@@guilhermebonamigo8441 this is like saying the first person shooter formula is tired, or the action rpg formula is tired. REDO! is a very unique game in the side-scrolling/metroidvania genre, there are no other games like it.
