Funny thing is that an hour before that, Capcom released some Monster Hunter Rise clips. One of them was the chef, Yomogi, serving colorful Dango to the hunter. And then I watched Sephiroth skewering those poor coloful Kirbs...
and yet. all the roasts sakurai has been doing has been going over the smash fanbas's heads. this was supposed to be a fun party game. and it's been turned into a competitive nightmare. it hase been obsessivly broken down to it's code. it no longer just is.

Mr. Sakurai is such a likeable person. This just pops up in my recommendation, I don't even play smash but I listened to him anyway lol You can feel the amount of love and effort he put into his games and can tell that he is enjoying it a lot.

7:00 The sword mechanic is really neat since that's how actual swords work. The tip has too little material to do much damage since swords are tapered in order to increase their speed in the air. The base of the sword is also to weak since compared to the tip of the sword, the base doesn't tend to move as much overall. That's way the most powerful part of most swords is past the middle point. I love how much effort Sakurai and the smash team put in to make the games emersive.

I love that he goes into technical details like frame data, while also feeling like that's too deep. That's exactly how I feel when I find myself researching those details anyway.
More people say this, it makes me wonder where you are using frame data for. If you're trying to learn matchups by studying the frame data you're gonna have a tough time. But it's great for small situations like: if Joker lands a back air on my shield, does my out of shield option come out fast enough to punish him? (Ultimate frame data even lists all the quickest OoS (Out of Shield) for each character at the bottom of their page). When using it that way, it's not really that hard at all
It's always amazing how much love the Smash Brothers team puts into each guest character. Releasing not only a character, but music, a stage, and little details that make the character feel as though they walked off their tittle and on to Smash Bros. It may not always be the character we want, but it's a character that is well made.

Just gonna say it outright. Though he's been out for almost a year, Sephiroth is, in my opinion, the ABSOLUTE SUMMIT of Smash Ultimate's newcomers! (besides Sora) He was my dream character not just in moveset, but also the character himself. And his introduction to Smash is amongst one of the happiest days of my life!

I love that Sephiroth's classic mode is literally him just cleaning up all the other bosses (except Darkon) after Galeem. As if one shotting an end boss wasn't enough of a power flex. Also damn, 9 songs? Way more than we all expected.
I was watching sakurai presenting steve when i was supposed to work, and when my mother appeared behind me she complimented me. Sakurai is so classe and professional that she confused him for a teacher, and it is extremely difficult to fool her.
I don't know why but him coming in at the end and explaining the audio issues was very charming and just... somehow makes him feel even more wholesome than he is. I wish you were my uncle, Mr. Sakurai

They treated Sephiroth really well in this game. Like a big welcoming party for one of the most iconic video game bosses. So much unique attention to his presentation.

Happy One Year Anniversary Sephiroth! I haven't played FFVII but he's still a legendary gaming villain and even though I'm bad with him I don't regret my purchase. He is my favorite reveal besides Banjo, the buildup was perfect to eviscerating Galeem! Thank you Sakurai for your hard work to get him in Smash!

7:00 The sword mechanic is really neat since that's how actual swords work. The tip has too little material to do much damage since swords are tapered in order to increase their speed in the air. The base of the sword is also to weak since compared to the tip of the sword, the base doesn't tend to move as much overall. That's way the most powerful part of most swords is past the middle point. I love how much effort Sakurai and the smash team put in to make the games emersive.

I love that he goes into technical details like frame data, while also feeling like that's too deep. That's exactly how I feel when I find myself researching those details anyway.
More people say this, it makes me wonder where you are using frame data for. If you're trying to learn matchups by studying the frame data you're gonna have a tough time. But it's great for small situations like: if Joker lands a back air on my shield, does my out of shield option come out fast enough to punish him? (Ultimate frame data even lists all the quickest OoS (Out of Shield) for each character at the bottom of their page).
When using it that way, it's not really that hard at all
It's always amazing how much love the Smash Brothers team puts into each guest character. Releasing not only a character, but music, a stage, and little details that make the character feel as though they walked off their tittle and on to Smash Bros. It may not always be the character we want, but it's a character that is well made.

Happy One Year Anniversary Sephiroth! I haven't played FFVII but he's still a legendary gaming villain and even though I'm bad with him I don't regret my purchase. He is my favorite reveal besides Banjo, the buildup was perfect to eviscerating Galeem! Thank you Sakurai for your hard work to get him in Smash!
