This game got robbed of so many awards
Hopefully this will help people see TGAs for the sham they are. I myself stopped caring about them back in 2018, when Octopath Traveler got similarly robbed.
I hope Supergiant keeps adding content to Hades, there's so much more they could do. I'd definitely buy a DLC expansion if they wanted to go down that road. Hopefully it'll happen since the game seems to have been a big success.
I hope this happens as well, but I wouldn't want them to hold on for too much on a single game, having played all of their games, each of them being a unique beautiful experience of their own, I can't wait for their next project too.

Greg Kasavin is great. Talked design with him years ago at pax for like two hours when he was showing the mobile version of Bastion. Smart and passionate guy.
So that must be why you can unlock a portrait of young Theseus: That would have been his original character design as a protagonist.
Why he gets Olympian Boons as well. Neat.
Theseus and Mino didn't just find a way in your game its one of the most defining moment and memorable boss fight of all time. Definitely a Game of the Year for me.

@@blorpman9735 The characters and the animation is definitely 3D, only the environments is 2D.
edit: the dialogue art is also 2D (obviously).

Supergiant is one of these studios. They don’t do many games, they do a few that are absolutely fantastic. Hades, for once, is one of the few roguelikes that I found to be enjoyable long term.
Totally agree, though I've yet to try Pyre for once.

I remember when Kevin was one of the earliest video game reviewers on KRplus and I think I watched his review of a Fire Emblem game. Not sure if it was with Gamespot or IGN or another channel but I definitely remember seeing his reviews. It's really cool to know he's that he's (been) working on game development now and leads a studio that makes some great games. I've played other games by Supergiant and they've got a pretty good track record.

7: Another one of the directors once went to a speedrunner’s stream & called him to embarrass him live after he fired a Hazard Bomb in the smallest room in the game & got hit by it.

The real question is will there be a physical release down the line i like it on pc and wouldn't mind having it on the go but im not double diping unless there's a physical cart.

Can’t believe this game was tied with Last of Us 2 at the Game Awards with the most awards.
From how crappy that game was Hades Ghost of Tsushima or Doom should of won by a long shot 😒

I’m a huge fan of Animal Crossing fan (judging from my pic) and NH is the biggest step back in the series. The game had like few major and minor events, heck NH has the fewest events so far in game out of all the series and the game is just doing task work for nook miles which isn’t worth it at all. It also lack QoL since many newcomers and veterans of the game complains about it. The game disappoints me to the fact I had to go back playing the previous titles. Sure it changed people’s lives during the pandemic but mine isn’t and i just played GoT throughout the summer. I do hope the future titles wouldn’t be disappointing. I’ll eventually comeback playing NH once it’s worth the $60 mark. Btw, the game awards is about the quality of the game, not the quantity of how much sales it had.
@@clippygoat Nintendo is reeeeaaaally dropping the ball lately. Feels like they since Switch sales were so absurdly good they think they don't need to try anymore.
I was a bit reluctant to buy it... Now I can certainly say I love it, feels very good the way you progress in the game, fight and all the dynamic and dialog you experiment in it.

Hades and the FF7 are the true winners of game awards. Hades for being an indie game that competed among big budget AAA and that everyone loved , and FF7 because sephiroth in smash was the best reveal of the whole show.

Not this game, unfortunately. It's only on PC and Switch.
I think they focused on a single platform because they're (Supergiant, I mean) a small indie team and multiplatform releases might be too much for them, but maybe they'll port it eventually?

Theseus made me laugh many times, especially on EM4.
Hypnos also made me laugh after my many deaths.
about 130 hours in, still unlocking everything, highest heat I've done is 15 with the sword
this is an excellent rogue-like, the game is about the enemies, and once you learn them, different weapons/boons are just interesting ways to mix things up
story is fantastic...not necessarily the mommy stuff but just how it all unfolds, with lots of character development that relates back to the plot, and it all happens while you play, it doesn't get in the way of the game itself like so many stories and cutscenes in games

No, making cartridges for Nintendo is expensive so they made it digital only.

I'd guess PC because it's been in early access for years before it released on the Switch
That being said, it's been one of, and at times the best selling game on the eShop. So I could be wrong.

A roguelike
It's a rogue-lite, meaning you'll go as far as you can and if you die, you'll lose most of your stuff and go back to the beginning.
That being said, dying in this game doesn't feel punishing, and you'll probably feel the urge to play it again and again.
