I just got his new album Rarities which is a companion to the wonderful Turning Year album of last year- such beautiful music- hope he can travel on tour again! Lovely posting- thank you!
A calm and low speaking musical voice a relief in our judging and sensationell seeking media climate thanks to Eno providing this time less spiritual compositions to us
Absolutely breathtaking. I was just listening to this and sipping my coffee, petting my lovely cat and I find myself crying remembering a place we once walked too.
@@willemvandebeek very much so. Also worth checking out Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks, Brian and Roger Eno and Daniel Lanois, its a terrific album.
To me, witnessing a string quintet, quarter or whatever combination up close, is perhaps my favourite musical experience. It’s so moving, I always get teary eyed. The vibrations make it something special.
I have been through a lot, and now as we listen to this there's that knowing "everything plays a tune, a purpose. The end results will be just like this, a beautiful masterpiece" Thank you to everyone sharing this masterpiece with me.
I love that he's sitting in an old chair instead of a bench. That tells you a bunch about his musical abilities. We're all different ducks and awkward bub.
@@dlwseattle I would almost agree that that is crazy since Roger Eno plays and co-wrote tracks on one of Brian's most well-known albums, Apollo (the track "Deep blue day", for example) ;) They also did a collaborative album recently, Mixing Colours. Check out his debut, "Voices", released after Apollo, if you enjoy that and a bit of Harold Budd, I guess ~
Thank you very much tiny desk for sharing as well as to the group of musicians who gave us a quiet music for all living beings on this beautiful earth 🌏 space universe heard you thank you very much 🌼💮🌸🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌿🌿☘️☘️🍀🍀🌴🌴🐝🐝🐛🦋🐌🦋🌈☀️🕊️
Inspired by Arvo Part? I hear the similarities between "Spiegel im Spiegel" and "Fur Alina". Nicely experienced minimalism and calm. Very pleasant listening. Thank you.
I am a fan of your brother Brian. Brian and Robert Fripp got a little wild for me. During that time my favorite was jazz. Chick Corea, Paul Winter, Pat Matheny with my favorite Eberhard Weber even though I was a trumpet player. One of my favorite is with Eberhard Weber Silent Feet

Intro leads a child down a hall. Awaking from sleep calling for a parent with no reply. Emotional and eyes flooded with tears she wanders through the halls calling out. In a state of disbelief, she surrenders to her fear and collapses to the floor at the door of a bathroom.
God bless the parents of Roger and Brian Eno 🥹❤️
this is amazing. God i love NPR, imagine how many people have been introduced to music and artists they otherwise would never have heard before.
True that! 💗
This is why turning on KRplus at 3:30am isn’t always a bad thing. Breathtaking. Thank you.

There is nothing like anupright piano and a chamber ensemble !
At the surface the music seems simplistic, but the harmonic arrangements are so exquisite.
Don't rush the process. Allow yourself to grow at your own pace. Stop comparing your life to what other people are doing.
'A Place We Once Walked' is so haunting yet incredibly beautiful. I'm so glad I decided to check out Roger's work.
Lost in music... Beautifully mesmerising, relaxing and inspiring.
Eno is the perfect name for an ambient family .
Father and daughters moments, his daughters, Cecily and Lotti. Moments to take on that walk.
Lovely. I first discovered Roger when he was part of the fantastic band, Channel Light Vessel.

I’ve been listening to Brian Eno recently, so this could not have come at a better time. Such beautifully natural.
How is Roger related to Brian? Are they brothers or nephews or something else if at all?
@@willemvandebeek Roger is Brian's younger brother.
@@raywatts5702 I see, those Eno brothers must have had awesome parents then! :)

It would be very cool to have been in that room feeling the vibrations from the strings.

This is an absolute bombshell of a treat. There is so much talent here and it's so well produced for our pleasure.
Every home should have a string quartet 👍
Always loved his music and these works are simply beautiful!
This is a beautiful album and this session was lovely as well. Excellent sound recording and camera work as always!
So cool and dreamy. This would be a great soundtrack for a period piece.
Looking forward to see him in Berlin on the 12th of May!!!
Couldn’t stop listening. Mesmerizing. Thank you. I love this ensemble. Refreshing to hear!
Mesmerising. Beautiful. Inspiring. Healing. "Thank-You".

Didn’t know Brian Eno had a sibling until I read the title of this, wow
You are missing an amazing discography. Roger is a treasure.
I deeply recommend checking Roger Eno’s work.
Neither did I that's crazy and I love Brian Eno
@@dlwseattle Same! I'm shook! Some serious talent in that family.

I love that he refers to his daughters as witches, but in a very endearing way. Their voices are hauntingly beautiful.

These sparse arrangements remind me of Erik Satie. Very beautiful.
Um. Yes.
Apollo and Islands on tape and the Zappa was stolen. Just because he is younger than Brian but... enjoy and appreciate his body of work.

From Eno’s comments I understood there might be an album called The Turning Year. Does anyone know where such a record is found?
I got a digital copy from iTunes but there are hard copies available from various retailers
I think that I saw a brief appearance by Ted Sheldrake.
Beautiful, but very depressing. I feel like my depression is kicking in atm...
