It makes me really sad that the high school student skips dinner so she can keep studying without getting tired despite the fact that even with that “saved” time, she still isn’t sleeping until 10 or 11. When asked about how she relieves stress, she didn’t even have an answer - just recalled something that motivated her to work harder than she already is. Her teacher must have been worried about her. Expectations on Korean students are too high - I hope she’s healthy and can find time to rest. It hurts to know that regardless of choosing idol life or retaining life as a student, a lot of Korean kids really aren’t living as children when they’re high school aged
That kind of strict school routine is really common in Asia, but sadly, we cannot also do anything about it. Most parents are also pressuring their child on their studies with high expectation, it’s like students are just forced to motivate themselves to keep on going.
High school life is really hard you just keep pushing yourself to get higher marks it's like the base of the building you need to work harder so you can have a good future i think it's the hardest part of students life
Not only in Korea but in Asia generally. Even more when you're a medical student. The fact that even socializing is limited aside from sleeping because of the demand you have to study. TBH, I even experienced sleeping for only 30 minutes because I have to study the entire night for our Anatomy test the following day. What made me survived was my mindset of acing the test then afterwards, I can finally get some sleep
their education system is unbelievable & should be rethought as whole. if my kids’ nose would bleed all bc of the school & studying I would scream murder. finnish education or waldorf is the best in my opinion korean students are so strong

This video actually says a lot. What people don’t notice is that it doesn’t matter whether you go to school or become an idol, life is hard these days. Everyone’s lives are so career focused. Instead of playing resting and studying a bit, the students go to school, attend cram school then again study at home. There’s clearly a difference between elementary school kid and the middle schoolers.
even you trainee become an idol or student become doctor, police, teacher, etc. you have to work hard to get it, don't give up, NCT Dream schedule is go to school, practice, performing at events, and more, and student schedule is go to school, learning, and more, even different but they same to work hard to achieve they dream..

my heart felt for Jisung, he was so young when he trained and debuted. when he said the boy reminded him of himself, it made me realize how much of his childhood he missed but I'm sure he'll say it was worth it. he loves his job and shows that through his actions. his smile when the boy told him he already confessed to the girl he likes, he was so happy and excited. and at the end, he was so eager to see the boy's diary:(

i feel so bad for the girl in eleventh grade, and everyone else like her. it must be so mentally tiring and i know it’s probably not going to change because of how education-focused korea is, but wow i’d probably fail if i was in her position. props to her for keeping it all together.
I can relate to her so much, I lived like that from 13 to 17 years old in the boarding school. Well i'm not study that hard at first but our life is full of schedule from 7.30 a.m to 11 p.m. it become more pack when we have huge exam that year.

As a Jaemin-biased, I teared up when he said that the fans is what keeps him going on in his job. The mere fact that he has a reason to stay means that he has had thoughts of leaving or quitting the difficult career., and I know it applies to every member. We all know how difficult being a kpop idol is (even if we haven't experienced such) and I wish they hang in there, not just for us who believe in them but also for themselves since they chose this direction and ought to be happy and satisfied with their careers. I wish them all happiness :< . (omg I got too dramatic but well, I love these boys!)
Like dreamies said in the clip, idols life aren’t that easy. At the beginning , the high sch girl also mentioned that the artists on screen look like they are enjoying their lives at best. We might think they have a very unchallenging job but tbh their youthful lives have been sacrificed in the practice room. For normal children like us, we own our time. We could stop studying when we don’t feel like learning but idols are not that way. They have to keep up with schedule provided or they will lose track. But after all everyone is a youth trying to pursue dreams in respective ways. I deeply hope those narrow-minded persons could understand this logic.

i think a lot of people have this idea that idols are living just a luxurious life without spending sweat and being tired which is an entirely wrong thought. idols have to risk their whole youthful life with the uncertainty of successfully debuting; and even after their debut, they have to keep their image clean because even the smallest mistake would create a big issue. they leave their families (foreign members were the most affected tbh) and sometimes have schedules and practice from dawn to dusk and overnight. i wish NCT DREAM and the whole NCT a really smooth and successful idol life and good health.
My mom wasn't like that when she was younger but when she started getting older she cares for her students so much, maybe after seeing me suffer or something. The older ones really cares sometimes which is so heart warming 🌱💚
Renjun reminding himself of what his goals are before sleeping and what Jaemin said that you have to have something you love to hold on so you can go forward even when the situation's hard, they both remind me of how my mind wanders off when I can't sleep, just thinking of what I want in my life in the future and what I want to achieve in the career I want so I can go on and not give up. Same, like these 2 may look so different in the outside. One is labelled as the weird introvert and the other is the innocent boy. But truly these 2 are pretty similar with each other, they are very mature and they know themselves well. Not saying that the other doesn't have this admirable side, haechan and mark, we know how they are. Jisung has already begun to show maturity in the recent years. And chenle and jeno also have an amazing sense of self. However, these stands out the most with their sensitivity and these 2 are my "biases" in the dreamies.

I’ve seen a lot of Korean celebrities do this, I feel like most do a good job of keeping their famous lives and family lives completely separate and they raise their children in a normal, grounded way.

I do that too sometimes just to submit assignments and projects and study for upcoming quizzes and exams

Everyone’s lives are so career focused. Instead of playing resting and studying a bit, the students go to school, attend cram school then again study at home. There’s clearly a difference between elementary school kid and the middle schoolers.
even you trainee become an idol or student become doctor, police, teacher, etc. you have to work hard to get it, don't give up, NCT Dream schedule is go to school, practice, performing at events, and more, and student schedule is go to school, learning, and more, even different but they same to work hard to achieve they dream..

As a Jaemin-biased, I teared up when he said that the fans is what keeps him going on in his job. The mere fact that he has a reason to stay means that he has had thoughts of leaving or quitting the difficult career., and I know it applies to every member. We all know how difficult being a kpop idol is (even if we haven't experienced such) and I wish they hang in there, not just for us who believe in them but also for themselves since they chose this direction and ought to be happy and satisfied with their careers. Like dreamies said in the clip, idols life aren’t that easy. At the beginning , the high sch girl also mentioned that the artists on screen look like they are enjoying their lives at best. We might think they have a very unchallenging job but tbh their youthful lives have been sacrificed in the practice room. For normal children like us, we own our time. We could stop studying when we don’t feel like learning but idols are not that way. They have to keep up with schedule provided or they will lose track. But after all everyone is a youth trying to pursue dreams in respective ways. I deeply hope those narrow-minded persons could understand this logic.

i think a lot of people have this idea that idols are living just a luxurious life without spending sweat and being tired which is an entirely wrong thought. idols have to risk their whole youthful life with the uncertainty of successfully debuting; and even after their debut, they have to keep their image clean because even the smallest mistake would create a big issue. they leave their families (foreign members were the most affected tbh) and sometimes have schedules and practice from dawn to dusk and overnight. i wish NCT DREAM and the whole NCT a really smooth and successful idol life and good health.

This is why these two are on the list of my biases in nct. I relate to them sm and thay inspire me too, like a looot! I just love them ( ⚈̥̥̥̥̥́⌢⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀)❤️
Same, like these 2 may look so different in the outside. One is labelled as the weird introvert and the other is the innocent boy. But truly these 2 are pretty similar with each other, they are very mature and they know themselves well. Not saying that the other doesn't have this admirable side, haechan and mark, we know how they are. Jisung has already begun to show maturity in the recent years. And chenle and jeno also have an amazing sense of self. However, these stands out the most with their sensitivity and these 2 are my "biases" in the dreamies.

@@jespy218 idols do date and fall in love and all that but they do it without the public knowing. And then when they’re in their thirties/forties, that’s when they settle down. I’ve seen a lot of Korean celebrities do this, I feel like most do a good job of keeping their famous lives and family lives completely separate and they raise their children in a normal, grounded way.
