I was stunned to learn what close friends Kenny and Lionel were. Lionel took his death hard, and as a fan of both of them, my heart broke for him. We watched the show on CMT last night and it was a nice tribute to Kenny. They had a lot of fun during the 30+ years of their friendship. I think my favorite performance of the night was Dolly singing/playing "Sweet music man".

Kenny started out one of my very favorite singers when I was only in 2nd or 3rd grade when I'd borrow a quarter from my Gpa to go play something on the jukebox at the Legion and one thing that would always be included in my picks was The Gambler. When he came out with this one I was hooked immediately. Probably the best love song out there and him and Lionel both deserve some huge credit for this one. You will always be miss Kenny.
