This shows how important a good referee is. Some of those knockouts were absolutely brutal.
One seems to have more brutal KO's tbh
@@netwatch7261 it's on pride type rules so...there's no usada do as you please.
@@robertcarter1358 I have my suspensions there's plenty of fighters that get away with injections in the UFC too. As far as pride rules goes it's more like an actual fight and most of those KO's didn't come from the extra pride rules. There were a few downed knees, but mostly kicks and punches.
some of those refs took some nasty body shots while jumping in. comes with the territory though.
@2:12 was nasty.
You could see the set up: like the fighter was legit annoyed; and decided a roundhouse kick at whim.

He ate about 20 hammer fists, then they got stood up and it ended with a body shot. His skull must be stone.
Love the heart but damn the corner should have thrown the towel in. Was out on his feet for a while
Glad someone acknowledged it, this guy endured like a badass he would rather die than lose give in.
Most of these refs did an amazing job at stopping the fight in time

Massive respect to the fighters that knew when to stop even without referee interference. As a non fighter (read, basically no martial arts experience) I expect it takes a lot of experience to tell the difference between someone who's hurt to the point that their combat is compromised, and someone who's hurt so bad that they can't compete anymore.
You made a great point when you pointed out how youโre a non-fighter watching from the outside. Itโs a different perspective when youโre in there. Nothing wrong with follow up shots in mixed martial arts. Itโs not made for pansies to watchโฆ

My word, that legkick knockout starting from 9:10 is so damn brutal.
A clean hit to the head will take you out instantly and the pain clears up after a few days most times, but you just know that that guy is walking on crutches for weeks just to ease the sheer pain walking will cause him the way he got kicked through the ring.

I really like the enthusiasm in some cases, but I think the ones that win out for me are when the fighter knocking the person out shows genuine concern, or doesn't let out a big scream. To me, it shows a level of restraint, concern, and respect.
