So im saying, they couldnt beat faker at his peak but he can beat them at theirs with merely a shadow of past. there is no debate in league.
Comparing players from different years is unfair though. Faker is better rn than he has ever been, and is still not the best mid in the world at the moment. if you take any lck mid this split and put him in s4, heβll be by far the best player in the world.

He was the goat back when he won his 3rd Worlds, but it could've been argued that someone else might've become the goat instead when he didn't win anything for so long, but to come back after so many years to rise up and be the best again and win the trophy, he finally cemented himself as the GOAT and now it is impossible to ever remove that from his resume.
It'll take someone winning in 3 different eras and multiple world championships in 1 era in order to surpass him. We'll need 15+ years before we can get someone like the guy
Yes, and for anyone to be even called close to a goat in League they would have to have minimum of 2 titles, keeping up and still winning most of their matchups for 5+ years and then still be able to play better than anyone else ever has. It's just not going to happen in Leagues time. Sports it does happen but games? games die. nothing lasts forever and if League would be THE one to last 50+ years like alot of sports have then yes. we would see another like Faker. but Faker will never play against anyone as good as him.
See that's the thing a lot of people don't seem to be recognizing.
He's won Worlds 4 times, 3 times 7 years ago and still manages to improve and grow as a player and wins Worlds for the 4th time, with an entirely different roster as well. First and ONLY player to win Worlds 4 times. The only other player who has 3 wins is, you guessed it, Faker's teammate/jungler on SKT T1 - Bengi. There is only 2 other non-SKT players who have won Worlds 2 times - BeryL and Duke and Duke's first Worlds title was in 2016 on, you guessed it, SKT T1 with Faker and his 2nd Worlds trophy was when he played as a sub on IG with TheShy being playing 99% of their games so it's a bit disingenuous.
People cannot deny Faker's uniqueness as a player and his resilience and strength and determination to constantly improve and focus on what he needs to do to stay at the top. When there is only ONE other player in League history to win Worlds twice without being on a team with Faker (BeryL - 2020 DAMWON, 2022 DRX) you cannot deny Faker's status as THE Greatest Of All Time.

Yes, I'm late to become his fan, but im so glad that I was able to become his fan during the asian games, and I was able to watch him lifting his fourth world title. The amount of titles he has won, the countless records he has broken again and again, the sheer dominance for more than a decade... There are other players that at a certain point were better than him but they all have fallen at one point or another, only Faker strikes back again and again and AGAIN. His consistency and constant improvement are just mind-boggling. It doesn't matter how good you are at a certain season, at the end - you will have to face him. "All roads lead to Faker" is not just a funny meme, it's the reality of League of Legends, Faker is absolutely inevitable and he likes those odds.

I feel like there are only a few sports with undisputable GOATs, Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, and of course Faker. He's already very behind. Faker at 19 had 2 World Championships. But I hope he doesn't plateau until he's 25+, and he gets the teammates Faker got. Even then there's still the record Faker has of being the oldest ever player to win Worlds. And that's probably impossible to break. I wish the guy well, if he wants to surpass Faker, he has a lot to do.

Little criticism to help you out in your futures documentary :
- Take the time to pick up the right moments in video (such as when you said they picked Morg to counter leblanc and you didn't showed the impact in game, went straight to the nexus exploding)
- The voice volume is too low compared to the rest
- Would be nice to have more emotion in the voice, it sounds like you're just reading a paper, not involved in what the story is about

I'd say the biggest mistake in his career was letting SKT bench him for easyhoon. He was arguably at the height of his career and they bench him for easyhoon experience... weird time to be a fan and their viewerbase tanked.
I would imagine that time period helped him not to develop a huge ego and stay humble because he realized he could be replaced.
He doesn't have nuisance ego it was for the best since the meta was mages with crowd control and easyhoom was good at that faker was an assasin player then he went on to grind and the rest is history
It could be argued that that decision is why he's as good as he is today. The main reason Faker started to learn Azir by spamming it in solo queue was because he was pissed that he was getting benched for Easyhoon. It was a good ego check that made him humble and to focus on improving. Now he's known for his Azir and during Worlds 2023, he was the only Azir to win the matchup against Orianna. It isn't even isolated to Azir as he also went on to add control mages in his repertoire

Not a mistake at all. He knew he needed to grow, adapt and improve as a player if he wanted to still be a top competitor so he did a literal training arc and busted his ass to grow as a player.
