    We feed the egg shells back to our chickens, too. I wash, dry them & then after accumulating a lot of them ~ I grind them up in my Nutri Bullet. Then we sprinkle them on top of their feed. We also add them to holes we plant our tomatoes, etc. in for calcium . If you grind them fine, you can put them in gel caps & use them for calcium supplements. But I like Bill's 'Egg Shell Dance' !!! We have a Black Mulberry Tree & it will be quite a while before we get fruit off it . Your seasons are way ahead of ours. I look forward every year to when ours get ripe ~ love them !

      I love all the information you have. I always enjoy your ideas. I'm going to put egg shells with my tomatoes too. I really appreciate your experience. It helps me and others who read this.

    Great for them to enjoy and helps keep their egg shells being produced sturdier. Such a beautiful day there

      This is a couple months worth. We do feed eggs to the dogs so we can feed less dog food.

    I know by watching some other channels of farmers on you tube that the ones but big cities go and get crushed egg shells by the tons and put them on they're fields! Always something interesting going on with all these channels. Thanks for sharing your video.

    Your plants are sure looking good. All green and ready to grow. How often do you feed egg shells to the chickens like that. How come Bell doesn't like Ben? Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and God bless you. Love Joyce

      I haven't gotten any apricots of this tree yet. Don't know what is wrong with it.

    do you guys worry that doing that will give the chickens a "taste" for eggs and create an egg eating habit?

    • @OutWestHomestead
      @OutWestHomestead  6 년 전 +1

      I thought about it but they get out and free range a lot so they don't hang around the nest boxes. So far they don't bother the eggs.
