Live in her shoes one day. She did her best and has a health problem. Putting people down-when they’re down-that’s just being an ass. You have absolutely no idea what’s happening with her. Would you have rather seen her perform like a show dog and possible injury? Damn that girls given enough.

She most certainly stole someone’s spot. If she has any sensitivity towards others in her she should apologize to the gymnast who just fell short of going to Tokyo.

People watch sports to be inspired. Sometimes by the super human skills of one competitor, but more typically about the courage shown by all athletes to step into the arena. Mykalya Skinner, by example, showed such courage and grit. She's is an authentic story. Simon Biles, for whatever reason, quit her team. An extraordinary athlete for certain, but Simone lost her courage. She has to live with her decision. Let's hope she bounces back.

All olympic contestants have an incredible amount of pressure no doubt, but during these games and even before, I don't think others had as much pressure like Simone. The expectations are great and the critics are tough.

Simone went into the Olympic with the most pressure! She is by farrrr the most famous Olympian that was going into the 2020 Olympics! People had high expectations of her! Like aly said they were predicting that she was going to win 6 gold medal! Not only the pressure of the world but also the pressure of making history! I mean it was about time she broke under all that pressure! I really hope that she is physical and mentally strong for the individuals

Simone will always be known as the greatest and an amazing role model for other athletes and especially for girls all around the world.

You are the exact reason as to why she struggled so much. How is it fair to put ALL of our hopes and expectations on one person? I am SO GLAD she pulled out. She showed the world that athletes are humans and their safety is worth more than any medal. She had been training since she was 3 years old and had said that she was ready to retire. Most female gymnast retire in their late teens because they have been training since 3 to 4 years old. This sport is tough on their bodies and the older they get, the more difficult it is for their bodies to perform. Look at Gabby, she retired after the 2016 Olympics. Mikayla and simone are considered old in gymnastics because they are in their 20's

She didn't let the team down!!?? You clearly know NOTHING about gymnastics or athletics. If she competed we would have not even received a medal and she knew this. So, she selflessly and maturely pulled out so that we could win the Silver, which is incredible.
