Wow it is amazing how the people at pixar had different jobs before working there, they have come so far and should be proud of themselves.

Thanks for all the great advice. I’m 25 and graduated from studying performing arts in pursuit of being an actor.
I’ve decided to steer away from that to pursue my true love of animation. It was really scary and I felt like I was blowing up my life but advice like the kind you see in this video is what helped me see my journey for what it is.

Oof I’m graduating from high school next year and I am still lost in what I really want to do in life,but I think this kind of reassured me that you won’t always get the career you want at the start but work hard and live on because the chance may present itself ☺️

This is really comforting, I recently went through a thing where I was like, “hey, I shouldn’t let my failures define me, I should let them motivate me to improve”💚💚💚

I’m a university senior this upcoming semester, so my advice: the sooner you find the balance between work and fun, the better your life will be. Especially art majors; falling behind in an art course is extremely stressful and time consuming.
Also, professors (and people in general) only remember two kinds of people: the hard workers and the slackers.

Graduated last year and I’ve been struggling a lot because I wanted to start working right away in something that I truly like and feel passionate about, but I ended up getting a small job in another thing :( But seeing this helps me stay positive and realize that everyone struggles a bit at first and the key is not giving up

work in some kind of animation is my dream even if I'm an illustrator.

I want to make the design of the characters if I work in Pixar

I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life in all of high school but after visiting Walt Disney World for the First time my freshmen year I became super invested in the story of Walt Disney and how animation works. I’m about to be a senior this fall and all my work and dedication this following school year is how can i prove myself worthy and better my skills in this huge field. I just hope maybe one day down the road I’ll end up at Pixar :)

I totally relate to that one guy who was saying everyone was telling him how bad doing the internship would be. I'm actually going to my dream art school in the fall and everyone in my family has constantly been telling me how terrible the city will be and how stressful it is and how I'll never get a job and how I'll forever be in debt. But now it's just made me want to do it more because this is my dream and I need to prove to them that I can be an artist and I can be confident in at least this one thing.

Working in Pixar is my ultimate goal in life! I'm determined to go there

I know I failed my math finals. This reassures me.

When I'm older I really want to be a Pixar animator. I love drawing and everyone I know is really supportive and think it would be amazing for me to be an animator. Once I go to college I want to try and go to the California Institute of the Arts. I'm not sure if I ever will be able to do this but I'm hopeful. I hope everyone reading this will do what they love! I'm an animation graduate that's still working part time at a pizza place 3 years after graduation x_x I constantly feel like I'm going nowhere and that all my hard work was for nothing. But seeing the films you guys create and especially seeing this very video helps remind me that it'll all pay off and I'll find myself where I belong in the near future :)

Graduated this year, have a job like Mr. Incredible, all Inside Out emotions running frantic, and Finding Door to Disney Pixar. So glad to know there are people like me in there!!

1:37 that's currently my situation! I started at 21, I'm 23 now and I'm half way through my art schooling now.. I feel like I'm soo behind. But knowing you do too and made it to Pixar gives me so much hope💜

It's been over 2 years since I graduated. While I've been busy with multiple part-time jobs, I definitely want more. Knowing that a lot of these people had different jobs before going to Pixar makes me feel a little better about myself, as I also plan to change my career path in the future

As an aspiring animator, I was nearly crushed when I had to delay myself starting art school, but I have a feeling that it will all be worth it.

I graduated a month ago. I'm working retail in my hometown right now, which means that every parent of anyone I ever went to school with is asking what I'm going to do with my life. I'm applying to jobs every single day, but no one wants to hire me. I'm trying to get some of my short stories published too, so my inbox is full of both job rejections and publishing rejections. Before I graduated, I got rejected from my dream internship program. That's still been gnawing at me.
Basically, I'm panicking. This really helped
