Hawks' expression when Dabi told him his name kinda reminds me of All Might's expression when All for One told him that Shigaraki is Nana Shimura's grandson. That's is why I would say that Dabi is Touya. Hawks admired and idolized Endeavor and to hear that one of his children became a villain would be shocking. At least that's what I think.

I think horikoshi isn't revealing dabi's identity yet is probably because dabi is a nothing character when you think about it the only thing that makes him intresting anymore is the mystery beind his identity, he's probably still figuring out his backstory to make it make sense
I feel like if he is touya it’s gonna be revealed within the next few chapters especially how hawks is like “who are you?” Another thing is I’ve watched the heroes rising movie, and season 3, for season 3: when they were getting bakuhoe we had a scene where it was shoto and Dabi looking at each other, and heroes rising, no worries this isn’t a spoiler it’s just a clip from the beginning completely unrelated, it was endeavour vs Dabi. I just feel like the scenes where it’s Dabi and other todoroki’s that have scene with him.
And how hawks eyes widened. Like you said, he’s a endeavour fan boy. And it’s probably likely Endeavor brought it up, so yeah, maybe it’s a literal canon theory. ÙwÚ

I like how everyone forgot endeavor can make blue flames but his flames has to be concentrated, which means todoroki can also use blue flames.
No he can't....not at this stage anyway. The tradeoff for Shoto is that his flames don't meet the same intensity as Endeavor's or Dabi's. Endeavor of course having hellfire and Dabi having cremation. Shoto's is plain fire and ice. Now it's either never gonna happen or he would need extensive training to make his fire reach the same intensity as his father's hellfire or dabi's cremation cos otherwise there is no way.....he would overheat if he even tried

Joey Little Eventually Shoto will master the ability to use both quirks at the same time as hinted when they were training with the pussycats. That solves the overheat and cooling problem since his temperatures will be balanced making his exactly what his father intended, a hero that can surpass all might. His ice will be colder and his flames will be hotter
Shoto has weaker fire than Endeavor and Dabi/Touya has hotter flames than Endeavor. Shoto may eventually get the point of matching Endeavor but he will never reach the level of Dabi/Touya's flames.

Yap, Shadow and Light of the fire isn't a good match. I mean we should remember when Tokoyami loses his control over Dark Shadow and it's gone berserk in S3 and beat Moonfish ass which something that Katsuki and Shoto can't do. But then DS gone soft when booth Katsuki and Shoto uses their quirk.
i said this but people think dabis blue flames are not bright. If you look at the page Dark Shadow is literally crying already just like he does when its too bright. The flames already are affecting him. whether or not tokoyami figured out a way around his weakness is something else but i dont see him dying

I feel like Dabi’s view of himself and Stains ideology will probably make a lot more sense once we get his backstory. I understand why you’d think Dabi’s character arc is too played out. But I think it’s because it’s tied to Endeavors. Finding out his true origin is probably going to bookend Endeavors character arc and maybe even kill him off.
i bet it's the same reason why hawks is shocked at dabi's reveal since he might have revealed that he's a todoroki making hakws realize that if the fact one of enadeavor's sons is a villain gets out it might get to the point of revealing endeavor's abusive past with his family and ruining his reputation forever making everyone lose faith completely in heroes

If you think about it the villains really haven’t been taking L’s. Most of their actions thus far were to gain momentum and sow the seeds of distrust into hero society. They started out as a small grassroots faction but now they’re able to wage a full on war with hero society

@@wayne1250 That's just my interpretation of the characters. Stain only killed and maimed heroes who he believed were false, using the title of hero for personal benefit. Dabi seems to kill people because he can.

Here are my thoughts on Dabi's side of the War Arc going forward. Tokoyami will push Dabi back but Hawks will order his intern to get them both out of there and to Jaku Hospital immediately. They will escape in the confusion much to Dabi's fury.
Realizing his secret is about to be exposed, Dabi decides to go for broke and abandon the PLF to settle the score with the one person who shattered his belief in heroes.
Sometime later depending on how events play out, Endeavor will listen to Hawks' recorder in private and will walk away with a thousand yard stare.
Then Detective Tsukauchi will inform Endeavor that his family has been taken and their new home burned to cinders. The only thing left was a burning message that reads "Come Home False Hero" or something like that.
Overhearing this, Shoto will furiously rush off filled with rage with Endeavor catching up. They make it home with Dabi standing in the courtyard with the remaining Todorokis his prisoners. Shoto explodes demanding his mother and siblings unleashing his strongest ice attack.
However, the ice is immediately pushed back and traps Shoto, piercing him in areas to keep him pinned. That's when Geten appears, having followed Dabi. He was upset at Dabi abandoning his post but will look the other way if it means taking down the Number 1 hero.
Endeavor stares down Dabi, not with anger, but with a mixture of shock and disbelief. I imagine Dabi will reveal himself in some grand way followed by his origin story. Whatever that ends up being not even my imagination can give it justice.
Suddenly, Shoto is freed from his ice by Bakugou, Deku, and Iida (the fastest of Class 1-A). We then get 1-A's Top 4 vs Geten for the lives of Shoto's family and Endeavor vs Dabi, the now revealed Toya Todoroki!
That's all I can think of and it's probably all wrong anyway, but that's the fun in theory crafting. Stay safe out there everyone!

Hey, don't forget a few things:
This entire war is supposedly a flashback. If you remember, there was the scene where it said all the heroes vanished. Then it jumped back to this war. So we know the heroes take some major Ls in a bit. Most likely endeavor dies and Hawks manages to survive and takes the role of tactician with the UA kids to eventually beat back the villains.
Horikoshi is probably still stalling while trying to figure out who to make Dabi. If he reveals it's touya, nobody will care since we all were guessing it from his first appearance. After that, we also had endeavor's fight against the villain that was revealed to be the person that killed touya. @@saratoth2812 It's not a flashback, this is happening in real time. The heroes all "disappeared" exactly because of that, this is how they found out one of the heroes was a traitor (forgot his name but he was found out to be genuinely with the Meta Liberation Army)

Plot started the fight, so why complain if Hawks survives because of plot?
@Bankai652 Hawks could have incapacitated Twice in less than a second. Instead he surrounded Twice and tried to talk.
If Hawks did the logical thing, he would not have been distracted, and Dabi would not have even gotten close to him.
The whole situation just feels forced. Everything Hawks has done in the last several chapters makes no sense.

We learned that Shoto’s older brother and sister, who have ice quirks, have low tolerance for heat. We also know that the oldest sibling, who is likely Dabi, had a weak constitution. Could he be like Aoyama, in that his quirk is harmful to him? Could he have inherited his mother’s likely susceptibility to fire while having a fire quirk that is much more severely harmful to himself than Aoyama’s quirk?

I agree, but here it makes sense. Hawks managed to give information to the heroes that let them get the drop on the villains. Had the heroes gone in blind, the PLF would've easily taken them down. I'm sure things are going to get bad for them once Shigaraki wakes up and Gigantomachia gets the command to attack.
