I have always thought to ask the same question. Some teams are just counters to others teams just because of how they play. Good example is Lakers and Thunder this season. Clearly OKC is a the higher seed and Lakers are way lower but they have won 3 out of 4 games they have played this season.

I can see they doing pretty good against OKC, Wolves, Pelicans, Kings and even Phoenix. Nobody in the west wants to play the nuggets 1st round. All teams would do best for themselves by avoiding them if possible. Also styles make matchups. There have been teams that matched up with the one team they were weak against and lost that could have won a. Championship if match up correctly. I think P is somehow naive about this.
