Love it! Me too! I utilized grooming in training and my favorite part of the job was the moments connecting to animals like this. Sometimes you can only brush the dog but one day, if you keep at it with the love and patience, you maaayy be able to complete an easy grooming process!

Dogs and cats can seem to react aggressive or angry, but most of the time in these kind of situations, they are scared or even terrified. It indeed helps to give them some time and try some affection and slow, soft talking. Not all dogs or cats accept their situation, but always be patient.

He's shy but surely friendly. Sometimes my sister and I thinks we got each other's remembrance that will reminds us of one another 😂

I said the opposite when I saw a video of a woman trying to calm a scared abandoned puppy. I said "why is this woman not talking to this puppy" she was not talking at all, only trying to touch it . So KRplus sent me a warning that my statement was inappropriate!!! Weird

The majority of the time when a dog acts like this is because their scared, not aggression. Once they realize your not going to hurt them, they flip a switch just like this pup did.

She's my hero! So many groomers would turn him away for being "aggressive" when he's just scared. She knew he just needed some extra TLC and she's his new best friend. 💜

And I wonder why is the dog aggressive!! Am pretty sure it's from an abusive owner, so if she turned it away nobody can blame her
@@venus170 there's one in every bunch... not every dog that acts like this at the groomer is abused by their human! My pomeranian was so spoiled, loved and easy going until he went to the groomer. Guess what the issue was? Sensitive pads and she started with his nails and by doing so held his pads and he lost his mind. She was amazing and figured out another way to do his nails and everything went great but if she forgot, he went nuts again and was never abused a day in his life! Now my Cocker Spaniel was another sweet spoiled laid back boy until his second time at the groomer. She said he was trying to bite her, wouldn't let her brush him, etc. So when I took him home I tried brushing him and no problem, clipped his nails no problem. Next trip in I decided to "accidently" forget my keys and walked right back in to see exactly why he was acting that way. She was the one hitting him! She got her ass beat by me, fired, banned from grooming, was arrested for animal cruelty, and her husband left her. I didn't get charged but her husband the sheriff thanked me for busting her, he didn't have a clue but had other people call with thoughts something happened to their pets. So no, it's not necessarily from abuse or from the human and people making claims like that can cause a lot of problems! Also, why piss on me saying how great she was in knowing he just needed some understanding? Damn, go piss in someone else's Wheaties!

If a dog is aggressive like that for grooming, it means he’s aggressive for any slight change. That is not a safe dog.

I absolutely love the fact that she didn’t just throw a muzzle on him! She used her patience and love for her job and animals to show this pup that it was gonna be ok. She’s definitely a mvp at her job!

For the dog, it was certainly that way at first.
You can tell he's really enjoying it at the end. And the fact that she keeps talking to the dog makes him calm, he may not understand what she said, but her voice is like magic that keeps him calm

A gentle patient soft voice & a patient calm demeanor & soft pets; calmed this dog with her calm.
She is so kind and patient and she talks to him like a little boy having a tantrum. Very talented

Associating her voice with the petting from the very beginning was brilliant. Because later when she used the voice alone the dog was still calm and associated with kindness

Some people really have the gift. To be able to win the trust of a scared dog that fast is pretty darn impressive.
Its all about the energy and actually managing to make him trust you with his emotions and brain , I manage to change a friends dog attitude when he is anxious just by sitting with him a bit of eye contact and talk and touch and trying to tell him that he needs to relax
