Its sad to see these absolute legends ending their amazing partnership.
So this legendary duo was a project… this will go in my record books as an A ++++
And to think they wore the helmets to hide who they were because they did not want the fame to follow them. They truly did what they wanted because it made them happy. That's what made this duo special. Nothing can ever replace them.
Not only that but it also gave them a reason for the robotic music, at a time where modern technology was just starting to explode. Genius move.
They showed their face more than the mask according to google, the mask was very hard to see through
They wanted people to focus on the music, not on them. They knew how much famous musicians became idols, and they didnt want that. They wanted it to be about the music, not about them. So they started just with covering their faces, and then they adopted the helmets.

The first time I ever heard Daft Punk was age five, listening to One More Time in my brother's car. These guys helped shape my love in music more times than I can count, and I'll never forget them
so they put your taste in a great direction, like us 😎🤙
First time I heard of daft punk was when I was really young. I got a ds game for Christmas and one more time was my favorite song to play on forgot the name of the game but it was a Rhythm dance game. So that song has a lot of good memories for me.
Never realized how much they were a art of my childhood til now

I was born in 2003, I grew up with Daft punk. Some of my oldest memories are driving in the car with my dad while blasting Daft punk. Those memories bring tears to my eyes. Daft punk to me always reminded me of spending time with my dad. This band heavily structured the kind of music I listen to. When one blew up, I will admit I cried.. But I cried because I was happy for them.. (and also because I'm going to miss them, duh) but I knew that they've been doing this for a long time. I'm thankful that they've been going strong for so long. Don't be sad that it's over.. be happy that it happened, and that we all got to experience it from the beginning to end. Or midway through to end.

It's taken me about 4 full days to even accept that they are no more. I have strangely never been the type to listen to music. One day in music class my music teacher had us doing a project on different famous artists, I was assigned to Daft Punk. I went home that night went on to youtube and googled them and clicked the first song I saw being Harder Better Faster Stronger. From that day on I ended up listening to every single piece of music they had. My interest and taste in music were entirely formed because of this duo. To this day I always put their songs on when I'm working, studying, etc. Thank you for 28 years of absolute bliss. Daft Punk will always be heroes in my mind.

Same here, I have never been a hardcore fan of Daft Punk yet I am devastated that they have split up. Most music today is heavily influenced by the music they made, and future generations might never even hear the name Daft Punk. Yet I suppose it is better to go out as legends then fade out into obscurity.

I was born in '93, so yeh, literally my whole life until I learned the news 🥺 I can remember my brother listening to Homework when I was a tot and I immediately dug it..my grieving (yes, that's how it feels) will go on a while 😔
