When that is done we save the shells for using in our UMU outside kitchen for cooking or we can allow the inside part to harden and then we get the use the shreds for coconut milk for cooking and the shells can be used to make jewelry. We use every part of the tree as a matter of fact.

I've always wondered how this drink is made. My favorite drink that they sell in the US is the roasted coconut juice with the pulp or bits of coconuts inside. It comes in a regular 12 ounce can and a 16 ounce can and both of bits of roasted coconuts chopped up inside the cans. They also have the young coconot juice with pulp also but it's not as good to me. Just seeing this makes me want one now. Thanks now i have to drive down to the nearest asian food mart.
