Blues Gods will live for ever. At least a long, long time after we pass away. That is a comfortation!

  • @theloniousratledge8835

Alexis Korner e Graham Bond, ed anche un po' John Mayall, mi hanno fatto venire la passione per il jazz britannico. Le loro formazioni erano piene di jazzisti.

This is a standout British artist.
He was at the beginning of it all,
and the company he was to keep
    was second to none.

      lol. Upon further review,
      I reworded it for you.
      You knew what I meant.
      Everyone or nearly everyone
here is from across the ocean
      from USA,therefor R&B,Blues,
      and Jazz:British style.
Sorry that it got you all
      riled up.Hey,I'm just glad that
Purple Maniac has a few videos
      that get through international
      copyright laws and rules,
and I can see/listen to some.
(I'm going to take down this
      response to you shortly,
      long enough in hopes that
      you read this.Carry on!)
      On a final note,remember that
      ALEXIS KORNER has been
      referred to as "a founding
      father of British Blues".

      Sorry,he was born in Paris.
His father or mother may have been born in Austria,I don't know.
His family was based in Britain
at the time of his birth. That usually implies that someone was born while the mother was elsewhere,
      perhaps abroad.In his case, his
      family's business dealings made it
so that his mother was not at home for his birth, but rather was with his father taking care of business, out of country.
      He was a British Bluesman
      and a British radio announcer,
      among other things.
He did not like being looked at as a founding father of the British Blues
and he was buried in Britain.

I wonder whether T.S.McPhee, the great guitarist of The Groundhogs and John L. Hooker's very favorite guitarist ever got to jam the Blues with Alexis Korner?
Does anyone know the answer over in the UK?..he is so underappreciated.
