During my first read through I have never ever realized Alice was virtually non existent in his world. It’s so interesting to me

It’s interesting to hear the subtle changes they made to make this work as an audio drama. Although, some details that gave certain scenes an eerier context or atmosphere tends to get lost in translation.
People keep saying this is confusing, but I haven’t come across a part that was actually confusing yet lol
The Interesting thing about Jubilation the town, is that it not only is the word Jubilation that expresses happiness and joy.
But is also mentioned in some bibles (I believe its Hebrew actually in the book of Jeremiah)
Jeremiah 3:11 11 [the] voice of jubilation, and [the] voice of joy, [the] voice of [the] bridegroom, and [the] voice of [the] bride, [the] voices of [those who] say, "Praise Yahweh of hosts, for Yahweh [is] good, for his loyal love [is] {forever}," [the voices of those who] bring thank offerings [to] the house of Yahweh, for I will restore the fortunes of the land as in the beginning,' says Yahweh.
this is interesting because a lot of the story uses other fraises, words, or descriptions that depict religious ideas from all perspectives. Like in part 2 the radio host lets us in on the "new box" could be seen as hell or nightmarish. The endless torment's on the road. Furthermore, the entire story has this hell feel to it. The absence of god being one of the many illustrations that depict hell.
But the town being called Jubilation this early is what stands out and presents us the reader with this obvious tap on the nose that everything in this story has 2-3 different meanings and every re-read makes you look at the story at a different angle.
Currently playing this game in real life with my brother were on our 28th turn and its been like a half an hour ill keep updates going

@@blackhillsbirder881 not even kidding our car broke down on turn 58 and we had like half a tank of gas we had to call for roadside assistance and then there car broke down so we got the car towed and got an uber home and the driver for some fuckin reason was only turning left and right also then he just stopped in the middle of the road and got out his car and walked away we think he was drunk but we had to get a refund on uber and walked home( so it was anti climactic and also very weird bc nothing made any sense)

I'm enjoying this, but I gotta say, some parts are confusing as far as knowing what is happening with the action. If I hadn't originally listened to this with the original narration, I don't think I would have known what was going on sometimes.
I feel this version is meant to be experienced after reading the original story first or other narrations.
@@ledarbyromeo9667 I just finished this and had never heard of it before. Pretty quickly I could tell it must have been a creepy pasta. I agree some parts were a bit difficult to understand, but I felt it added to the sense of unease!

The mechanics pay no attention to Rob. They continue to frog march Ace over to the truck. One of them making a quiet joke to the other as they go. They laugh.
An awful bang erupts beside me, and a deep red hole bursts from one mechanic’s torso, blood slowly seeping out of the wound. Inexplicably, the mechanic does nothing more than look down at his wound, up at Rob, and then back to the matter at hand. He hardly breaks stride as he continues towards the truck, bleeding freely onto the floor,.
I hear Rob set about reloading the rifle.
The mechanics arrive at the back of the truck with Ace. There are two short loops of thin chain hanging from the lowest of the hook’s chainlinks. The mechanics feed Ace’s arms through one loop each, until he’s hanging by the armpits in front of the hook itself.
Rob fires another shot that goes nowhere.
The mechanics grab a handful of Ace’s hair, chatting as they do so, and lift Ace’s head up until his lower jaw is just above the hook.
