I thought during that time Kanye was stupid. I could clearly see the point of Sway during that time. Even going as far to say I should have been focused on building schools and other structures to educate more of his people to become the industry around him instead of trying to make sneakers you can afford to make at the time. When you want to beat the industry you are in, you create a new one from the ground up. It takes years but you start low and not high.

Here is my understanding and I’ve been told in my 4th year Social Psychology class. Money doesn’t bring you happiness… I know people will say that’s cap… but hear me out. It brings you momentary happiness, but when the dust settles and your back to your old ways… what you were before the money is what you’re after the money. And, that’s what I’ve noticed in real life too… you can move from a $3K a month job to a $30K a month job. More money… you can pay off your shit live happier right? Nope… all of a sudden you’re shifting right… you got a bigger home, you got a nicer car… but those aren’t free and it’s cutting deeper into your pocket. Greed doesn’t allow people to just earn more and live a modest lifestyle… status quo won’t allow it.
