I watched Maleficent and Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil. Honestly, I loved them both. But I wished there could be a third movie where it focuses on Maleficent's individuality instead of focusing on Aurora all the time. Maybe it could focus on her past, especially her extinct race, and maybe her "true love".

He’s saying that five years ago (during the events of the first movie) he almost lost her but at that time, he’d only know her for little less than a day when he “almost lost her.” If she stayed in that sleep, he might have mourned for a bit, but he would have probably moved on because he hadn’t known her that well to truly form a bond with her. If Maleficent hadn’t gone to find him, he might not have even know about her demise until he returned to Stefan’s castle and no one knows when the next time that would have been.

There is so much to learn from the movie, even if it is a fairy tale it uses dozens of metaphors and has a strong message. One is undoubtedly nature and the environment which we don't care about nowadays. The other is relationships, power, and many more. It is definitely a must-watch movie, I felt so refreshed and full life after the movie. Also, there is a need to mention that the film stands out with its cinematography; it merely was brilliantly well done. Good job!

Yet she was not even a villain. She was a begrudging good guy trying to make up for her mistake. It was pretty obvious the all the twists. I just wish they had the guts to actually make a dark fantasy movie with her being evil not, angry lady does not like kid, but kid grows on her trope. I feel like I will still see the new one though because the cinematography looks a lot better in the trailer and why the hell not.

But the first one outperforms in a couple of places, one of those exceptional case was when Maleficent lost her wings and her cry was heard from miles away.
