When you know you’re dealing with the main character best thing to do is mold him to your ideology and your side or if that can’t happen make sure you’re an antihero that will have goals coincide with the hero at times. Otherwise you’re gonna have a bad time. MC’s can’t stay dead, and they eventually become unbeatable, why make enemies with a force of nature like that?

I would absolutely love an anime revolving around the idea that there's your typical "I'd sacrifice everything for my friends" type guy with infinite potential with a legendary lineage or hidden power, but instead of getting faded and then have a timeskip to ultimately beat the villain with a final epic battle. The villain just straight up runs his pockets and then kill him early. Leaving the side characters in a battle of extreme strategy, trickery, wits and wagers, because there is no plot armour this time. Only the intuitive will survive.

@@kai8618 I think it'd be more interesting if the main character was someone who's not related to the "legend" character and is just someone who's in an established role of power (Like a sergeant or any fodder leader type character in anime) who's not inept and actually value his or her life rather than just die in the background, they would have an insanely high chance to die or get mortally wounded to show the risk of how dangerous any suicide missions the "legendary" main character would partake in and the focus would switch to another person. Showing that the hero is not one person, but a large group of people willing to sacrifice themselves for the world.
