I used to play D&D over 40 years ago, and I remember one time we decided as a group to just stay in the village pub and eat and drink...no adventuring. The DM was mad at first, but then we just made a night of no fighting and potions etc, just sitting around and talking to the local villager NPCs.

When playing Skyrim, I had more trouble beating the tall nord at the Sovngaard Bridge gate than fighting Alduin the worldeater himself.
