I donβt think anyone truly understands how great Jamaicaβs performance in jumping was. First, each teammate played to their strengths, instead of Canadaβs strategy of overwhelming the guy with even more numbers, each teammate played a role in jumping the volunteer. The smaller and therefore faster guys went to immediately chase him down and bring him to the ground. Also notice how the taller and somewhat bigger guy goes for heavy swings contrasting the swift punches his smaller and faster teammates perform on the victim. Second, the βbop bop bopsβ sound silly to the audience, but the victim is currently in extreme pain and if he comes back to the same block, he will hear those βbopsβ and will make sure he doesnβt go back there ever again. Itβs a psychological trick used by Team Jamaica that was developing during the off years of the Hood Olympics. A truly stellar performance.

The head kicks were probably a nice touch, but it's a risky play, and it can detract from the overall performance.
Ideally the performance should go like this: You catch the person in question as quickly as possible without having to chase them down, and then get them to the ground immediately without a struggle, all without taking any counter-offence, or the person dragging someone else down with them.
Overall you want to be in and out as quickly as possible, whilst dealing enough damage. So you want to be able to work as a team, going to town, and then getting out of there in a coordinated, controlled manner, as a team. You don't want to be hanging around, getting an extra little kick in here and there. That's messy and whilst extra damage CAN be desirable, you're likely ultimately going to detract from the overall performance.
Another problem with that, is that there's a sweet spot with how much damage should be dished out, within the shortest amount of time. You don't want them to be able to just get back up right afterwards. That would be a terrible performance, BUT you also don't want to accidentally straight up murder someone. That's not the objective of a typical jump. So if you're hanging around too long and overdoing it with risky plays like straight up head kicks... you could very well over-cook it, and that will subtract from the jumping performance big time.
That is why Jamaica was flawless in their performance.

10:45 - I ain't ever seen a more flawless case of instigating than the one Mark gave this year. Somehow turned an innocent game between two bros with a graceful acknowledgment of the results, into a fight over a dude's girl, and he was going off info he wasn't even sure of. When he could tell he wasn't gaining ground too quickly with athleticism and build comparisons, he picked up the pace with some demeaning athlete comparisons, and then successfully and swiftly switched up onto an entirely unrelated matter to try and start something even faster. Just an incredible performance, truly gold medal worthy π
