I’m not into kpop but because of Seulgi I started to like kpop. I just can’t ignore her she’s so talented. I love her voice, her face, her fashion sense, she’s a great dancer and of course her personality. Her attitude on stage and cuteness off stage. She’s a total package and the best performer. SM doesn’t know how to promote their artist. I love red velvet but I think Seulgi is the most deserving to have a solo. She was trained for 7 yrs. She deserves more.

Her body is longer, slimmer, and sharper. As someone who is learning about fashion and body types, soft shapes and frilly textures will make her look childish and more masculine. Long, tailored, draping shapes are best to highlight the contours of her face and body.
As opposed to irene who has a mix of soft and sharp, hers can't be too 'feminine' and round nor to sharp and tailored. She wears clothes that is in the middle.

The drawing is a photo of herself in a solo photoshoot for GQ in 2018.

Let me talk real quick. Seulgi is literally one of the most unique idols I’ve seen. It’s like nothing can stop her. She can accomplish whatever she wants. As a vocalist she is strong as a dancer she is strong as an artist over all she is strong. Her voice can fit so many different genres. It’s soft, strong, stable etc. She can make it however she needs to fit the melody and dynamics of the song. The same goes for her dancing. she can do many different genres. Contemporary, Hip-Hop, ballet, hell the girl could prolly tap dance if she wanted to!! It’s just too much for me like I can’t handle it. 😭😭 Now for her character and stage presence. Her stage presence is untouched. She embodies the song and concept fully so much that it makes her seem like a completely different person every concept. The quality of her dancing and singing should make her be recognized as one of the best kpop artists of her generation. No wait... OF ALL TIME!! The girl can’t be stopped she is KANG Seulgi she is the ace!!

I think that removing all the hype, all the training, all the brand associations, etc., Seulgi is one of the truly naturally talented (sing, dance, art, etc.) among all major mainstream Kpop artists. Others do not have the talent at all and just acquired the skills through the efforts of their agency or their talents are just magnified by their visuals or reputation.

Sometimes I don't understand how Kpop focuses on/prioritises visuals, when really the whole idea of being an artist is the ability to perform music well (whether it be singing or rapping). This deviation from the true meaning of being an artist in the Korean music industry really exposes it for being materialistic, and ultimately a hyper artificial, industrialised, money-making business. Of course it's similar in Western pop, but I think it's much much more in your face with Kpop, especially with the whole appeal of companies moulding their idols into specific character archetypes (eg. the indie girl, the ice queen, the girl next door). However, I have some respect for SM entertainment, as it is clearly evident that they put most (if not all) of their idols through proper musical training, and they are known for producing some of the best vocalists in the industry.

Kang Seulgi was born and raised to be a star. She has such a wonderful vocals and stunning visuals. She's also one of the most charistmatic idol dancer. She can pull off any dance concept or genre from strong and powerful, to sultry and smooth. She's a natural performer. Honestly, she can set the crowd on fire without grinding on the dance floor or showing off more of her skin. She doesn't need to flaunt her angry abs all the time just to be called cool. She's the effortless cool girl.
Also Kang Seulgi is one of the most underrated model. She rocks every outfit she wore. I've never seen anyone who can rock a menswear-inspired clothing or an andrygonous fashion that can look stylish, elegant, chic, sophisticated and manly at the same time. Top designer brands should get her and make her their muses.
PS: She deserves to be recognize around the world, and the oher RV members as well.
