It's not that easy. That's his natural swing and he like many left handers pull the ball.
@@kinglou1099 its not only that. The pitcher also intends on throwing balls which can only be hit into the shift. If its a pull hitter they will try to stay on the inner half of the plate. These guys getting shifted on nee to develop an inside out swing, but of course that is easier said than done.
@@mdace34 you cannot develop an inside out swing on a ball being thrown inside its impossible. The best way to counter that is to do what Rizzo does. Go as far into the batters box that you can so that they cannot throw inside to you without risk of hitting you.
@@kinglou1099 it is possible to work on a swing. It is not easy, which is what I said. Where he stands only helps him to get hit by the pitch, it won't deter them from pitching him in, unless he shows he can hit the ball for average.
