This is only news because his wife has chosen to stay with him. But that’s on her. To me, she is wasting her time praying over him, casting out “the devil” and all the other things she thought would work years ago when he first stepped out on her and tried to “fix” it with a luxury car. It’s actually pretty sad if you ask me. We should forget about these people. They are choosing their lifestyle. John Gray has a problem. He's talked about being sexually abused as a little boy by a grown man. Being a virgin and ashamed of his size. Then struggeling with the attention he gets from women in a position of power. His situation is not unlike many men. I would rather pray for him and hope he can get council on dealing with WHY he keeps turning to this to sooth and not solve his addiction. We all turn to something. No one is immune to sin.
Not all of us are doing it while taking in millions from poor church people though.

As a human being, a pastor can have ANY addiction any other human being is capable of having. He is as flesh and blood as you and I. There is nothing superhuman or supernatural about a pastor. If he is not KEPT by the Holy SPIRIT, he is subject to do ANYTHING! When we consistently walk in the SPIRIT, we’ll be LESS likely (not saying we won’t ever) to give in to the lusts of the flesh. Any pastor struggling with addiction should probably step away and SEEK healing/deliverance for his addiction in order to be spiritually and mentally healthy enough to minister to others. I’m not making excuses, just showing some grace.
That's precisely the point. He's human. He's never stepped away from the ministry. He gets caught cheating on his wife and continues business as usual like not a thing happened. As a Pastor, one of the things that I try to instill is , "Stop worshipping these pastors, and stop looking down on others in the church." When King Ahab was ready to sell the nation out, the Bible says that the Elders surrounded him with prayer, and informed him that God was going to give him the victory.(1 King 30:13-28) We have to do like the cowboys used to do when the enemies attacked, they'd put the wounded in a wagon and surrounded with the protection of those who were healthy. This is what we should do with EVERYONE IN THE MINISTRY!!! THIS MEANS NOT, JUST THE LEADERSHIP BUT ALSO THE CONGREGATION. We let too many people walk away from the ministries because they have fallen short; however, we as Christians, not church people, should be surrounding them in prayer.
Agreed. We shouldn’t idolize pastors. And what I heard a wise pastor (Manny Arango) say was that, idolatry is when we give “Godlike” qualities to a man or woman. We have to pray, but also be aware of covering our family and church so they don’t fall into temptation. I don’t really care too much about these allegations. Media wilding these days. I don’t have a hell to put John in, but I know that he needs accountability and correction about these issues.
