I grew up in a predominately Black and Latino neighborhood. And one of the Absolute gifts of that time, was the radio. Unlike today, several radio stations played all genres of music, including Kenny Rogers. That's how we were introduced to Kenny Rogers and several other fine musicians, through the radio. Well, when we heard Kenny Rogers The Gambler and Lady, we were in love with his music and with his unique voice. We love him! His music is a huge part of my life, and I still listen to his songs to this very day.
R.I.P my hero since I was a kid. I fall asleep to his voice.

Well am really sorry about that okay 😒☹️and I know how it feels to be lonely without the our love ones, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life must move on because death is inevitable no matter how hard we try! And we'll all have to face it someday, I lost my oldest daughter Annabel on February 24th 2020 during the lockdown on a car accident, and she just turned 22 on her last birthday before she got knocked down by a moving vehicle 🚗 and so unluckily for me that horrible day the driver was drunk. That was the worst and most lamentable day of my life as a single Dad raising two kid's, my 17 years old son Clark and my 4 legged 🐶 families are my everything and the reason I still keep strong, and keep going! My late wife also passed away 3 years ago from a shocking disease, I felt deeply devastated with grief, and I was so heartbroken 💔 but that's the past now, God and time are indeed the best healers.

My mom's sister Barbara loved Kenny Rogers. This was her favorite song. My parents took me to a Kenny Rogers concert shortly after she passed away from breast cancer at almost 53 years old. It was the second concert I had ever attended. My mom started crying when Kenny started singing this song. It was rare to see my mom cry. In fact the first time I ever saw her cry was after her sister passed away. My dad lovingly held her hand. It was one of the most beautiful moments that I can remember between my parents. I know that my mom is holding her sister tightly in Heaven right now. I hope they can both go see Kenny Rogers together at one of his Heavenly concerts. Rest in peace Kenny. Thank you for giving me one of the most beautiful memories of my life. 💜

Losing this legend brings back so many memories. My mom Connie loved Kenny. During her last couple of years with us paying in 1991, we would listen to Kenny's Greatest Hits countless times. After her passing for a period of time, listening to Kenny with dad,while bringing some tears, would eventually yield to her incredibly impactful life. "Lady" was one of mom's favorites among many. I've been listening again today and reminisce about the many blessings she left behind.
LOVE is man's GREATEST strengths. Love how he embraced two cultures. We need more love songs in OUR generation.
