- Seventeen were the latest group to perform for Rolling Stone‘s In My Room video series, with each member of the 13-member band showcasing their talents in Seventeen’s three separate units.
The five-member Vocal Unit - consisting of Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan - went first, singing an updated version of their 2017 song “Pinwheel,” a ballad inspired by a dream that’s about “longing for someone you can’t meet anymore.” The five singers traded vocal harmonies and solos over a backing piano track before switching things over to the Hip-Hop Unit, with S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon, who performed the passionate song “Trauma.” Finally, the four-piece Performance Unit, featuring Hoshi, Jun, The 8, and Dino, performed an updated rendition of their song “Lilili Yabbay.”

ikr?!! people might praised for jun and dino more because of their falsetto and rap part. but they overlooked hoshi and minghao being the spine of the tone for the song. their tone is kind of neutral (? how can i say it, like they were not stand out but took the lead of the tone). especially minghao since he was the back vocal for almost EVERY line of the song, from lower range to higher range, like the second half of the song he had no chance to put the mic down 😭 people really need to give this boy more credit 😭

No hate but seriously seventeen is the best performer I've ever seen.... They never repeat the same performance. If they do the same song, they will change the instrumentals or adding some break dance and smtimes change the dance move too... It shows how strong their passion and hardworks are in music! As example, u can try watch seventeen performance in MAMA 2018, THEY PERFORMED 3 BSIDE TRACKS (FLOWER, GETTING CLOSER and BRING IT)it really shows that their b-side tracks are that amazing and title tracks materials... Even in GAON chart award, they performed 3-4 songs each year and most of them are bside tracks...
They love carats so much that they even made special birthday song for fans anniversary on 14feb... No other groups doing it like that if im not mistaken 😭

Dino especially in 2022 has made me love him more and more every time he appears on screen, from their title tracks to Gose whenever he appears i just smile and feel how good he is, he can do every thing, from dancing, singing, rapping to the comedy(in gose)😭😭🤧 although i have no bias in Seventeen but I kind of have soft spot for Dino(and few other members)🤧

I firmly believe this is the reason why they were called “performance” unit and not just “dance” since they can literally pull off any performance. Not to overreact but SVT's really one of the most flexible and versatile groups out there. Everyone is divided into specific units but everyone can easily fall into another place- all of them can sing, dance, and rap and not to mention thta they're all self-producing idols in nature (lol).
The fact that they perform some of their old songs, and the fact that they're never afraid to always showcase it with a twist or an entire changed/upgraded version puts me in amazement every time. Hearing all of them like this... I mean, how can one not feel relaxed? SVT's serving real aesthetic and pure talent every time they are placed on a stage or a show. Carats are proud!
