I am so glad Burnie is back for the final season. I remember him saying on the RT podcast that he likes endings because they make the content more special, and it gives people a jumping on and off point for long running shows. But I remember him saying it was impossible to end in a way that doesn't upset people. Lol.
I think he is the perfect person to write the final season and send the entire series out on an epic high note.
I figure I'll just say it here real quick. Thank you. For everything. I started watching in 06 and have been a fan ever since. I may not have watched as often as i used to these past years, but you guys will always have a very special place in my heart. Matt and Burnie handling the finale of what started and might end Roosterteeth’s journey is so poetic it’s insane…and tragic. Really hope it goes out on a level like S13 did

It starts and ends with the reds and blues, maybe even in a box canyon, debating why they are here. The full circle isn't necessary, but it would be very on brand for the series' original writing style.

The Meta is back!? I guess it is fitting they bring back one of their most popular antagonists for their final season.
Even more crazy- Tucker is the Meta.
It kind of makes sense. Epsilon was able to recreate the other fragment AI’s, so he’d invariably end up recreating Sigma from memory, and that memory Sigma would almost certainly restart its Meta goal.

IIRC, Trocadero was interested in ONLY having their music be in the final season... so I'm not entirely sure if the guitar riff will be here at all.
RT wanted to use stock music. Trocadero said it was them or stock music, not both. RT said stock music. 👎

What Happened To Caboose??
Well Caboose invested in FTX stocks, and at the top sold it all. Bought a horse cementary in Mexico. Made alot of new friends who produce sell and shipped special secret sugar all around the world. And teaches women studies class at Texas State University
in 2016 my dad bought me the first 5 seasons of rvb on dvd he found randomly in a second hand shop. since then i have been hooked. i quickly found up to season 14 on youtube and binged it all. now i am reaching what feels like an end of an era, even though i was very late to the party. i still appreciate the last 8 years and all the laughs you guys have given me

No they were doing this before the news of them shutting down was announced so this is literally their last official project almost fitting that’s it’s the one that started it all

The weekly release format on RT website apparently is cancelled though, and it will only be a digital release. Kinda disappointing, but at least rvb gets to end with a movie now.

I have a feeling this final season was almost finished by the time the closure of RT was announced, so it makes sense for them to be able to finish this.

Caboose has never fought the meta. Yet they are the odd ball to their original crews. Caboose is the only one the META willingly let live. If they fought I think it could be a tale mate if Caboose does not accidently hit a turn off button.

I have not done any fact checking on that number so don't quote me on that exactly, but I know we haven't seen 50 bodies

They had just got to Vacuo at the end of volume nine, they needed to deal with the relic there as well as return to Vale and Beacon at some point while also bringing to light the Summer Maiden. I feel like they planned for at least 3 more volumes that we may never see. We will have to wait and see if RWBY gets bought by someone who seeks to finish it and what their plans for doing so would be.

So is Tucker the Meta now? Did Epsilon's memories of the other AIs do something to trigger a manifestation of Sigma?
I don’t think Alpha and the others got destroyed in the Meta suit like Washington thought they would. I think they got scrambled and when Epsilon entered the suit he accidentally reformed them into Sigma.
Now “Meta / Sigma” is taking over Tucker’s mind.
@@kleioslibrary5451interesting theory. So does that mean Alpha might be back? Be weird seeing two versions of Church at once. I'm just hoping we get to see that plot explored by having scenes of Tucker in his head trying to fight back and retake control from Sigma and the other bad AI. Maybe have him team up with the good AI like Delta and Thata to do so
My theory is from the first trailer church was so desperate he brought back sigma to give them and Tucker the push they needed to get out of there, but he turned on Tucker and they have to find a way to take him down and save their friend

Also, if Rooster Teeth goes under, wouldn’t RVB automatically go to 343 Studios and Microsoft in full? I understand the series was always in this weird legal state thanks to it basically being officially approved fan fiction.
What makes you think that 343 would get the rights? It is owned by RT, which is owned by Warner, so if anything it belongs to Warner.
The IP is owned by Warner Bros Discovery. The characters logo and brand all WBD. The universe it is based in, is owned by Microsoft

I _mean_ that RVB has almost ALWAYS used Halo _exclusively_ for the show. Barring some CGI stuff, everything was “shot” on Halo maps using in-game assets… You’d have to think 343, as the current developer of Halo, owns SOME stake in RVB, no?

EDIT: This is more about owning the RvB IP itself than using Halo; if their hand was forced, RT could simply move over the characters, ideas, and stories to a medium that WASN'T Halo to tell their stories, and that's the key thing here. They're simply using Halo as a baseline to tell their story, meaning you're a bit off base with your assumption.
Just wanted to add some context: WB Discovery is currently shopping around Roster Teeth's IPs and catalog to potential buyers. I'm personally hoping they go to Dillongoo Studios (founded by a former RT animator who's expressed interest in continuing RWBY), but the most likely scenario is Amazon.

I'm a little late to the party but I didn't know how important and special rooster teeth was for me until the last 2 months. So much nostalgia and bliss around the internet being born. Thank you Burnie for creating an amazing place to be.
Poetic how Rooster Teeth started with RvB and now it's ending with RvB. I just hope this eventually gets a physical release, there's no telling when digital services decide that you just straight up don't own a copy of it. Also very important for archival purposes.

I’m glad we’re getting some closure for the series.

It's looking that way based on the following:
A. Tucker is missing from all the shots.
B. The color briefly flickers back to Tucker's Seafoam Green, turquoise blue, whatever you want to call it shade
C. Tucker was last seen wearing the M374 Hephaestus Combat suit (Charon's name for it's improved Meta armor)

And while I am sad it's undone some of my favorite moments, like everyone being there for Wash when he went back in time to get shot in the neck, or Caboose finally saying bye, or Tucker setting aside his revenge, or Donut actually putting his foot down for once, I am glad that we may finally get to see a proper goodbye between everyone.
I'm not sure I like where this is going because I feel like if Tucker being the Meta it undoes the view of that final shot at the end of the chorus trilogy

I know not a lot of people support this but I do hope Carolina and Wash get together. I get it not every two good friends need to get together but honestly, there are many hints from their interactions and how close they are. I just hope they do and give them a happy ending together….

Okay, so I don't know if you caught it, but there's a moment where the Meta's armour flashes teal/aquamarine/bluish-green/the rest of this running joke🤣🤣 and that COULD mean that it's not the Meta.... it's Tucker, back in the Meta's armour and possessed by th Sigma AI.
How the SIGMA AI returned...? I don't know.
But MAYBE he's one of the fragments that Epsilon left behind when he erased himself to help Tucker run the Meta suit.
If they keep s15-17 canon, then maybe Epsilon-Sigma's just been hiding his time.
If they're not canon anymore, then it's probably just soon after Chorus.🤷🤷

I'm banking on Epsilon-Sigma somehow hiding in the suit until there was a chance to possess Tucker.
And since I'm pretty sure I saw Dylan Andrews on that stage, it looks like s15-17 hasn't been removed from canon.
I'm really happy about that, tbh. Sure, it's not as great as what came before, but nothing about the Shisno Paradox was ever offensively bad and they DID do an awesome disability acceptance story with Wash.
Plus, the way they time-travelled in the Everwhen was SO engaging.😆😆

Although it might be a stretch for all the times that may have been placed into this message but here’s hoping with this rvb thing it might actually be the thing that helps rooster teeth find although under a different name in many other companies find itself again someday.
I'm not sure what's harder to fathom, the closure of roosterteeth, or matpat retiring as the host of the theorist channels.
