Nice knife but its probably more accurate to call this a saddlers leather knife. The handle of an ulu knife is usually turned 90 degrees from what you have.
@@Zack_262I don’t mean to sound like your completely wrong, but an ulu is not really like a pizza cutter as most pizza cutters are longer and have a less deep curve to them than an ulu, or are the full circle ones that rotate. Ulus also come in many different styles so it’s hard to really say what is and isn’t an ulu, as they were originally tribal tools and each area had a certain shape to them for specific needs. Some were actually shaped like what he made, but most were shaped in a fashion where if you held the handle normally, the ulu’s blade could cover your knuckles. I hope this was a bit helpful in explaining it a bit better.
Gotta say the threaded tang is by far the most inventive idea I've seen so far when it comes to these kinda videos, just imagine the possibilities if more blades had a threaded tang , you could have interchangeable handles or interchangeable blades for your favourite custom handles, I like this idea alot, the blade itself is pretty nice too

It doesn’t really matter… the Ulu is defined by its shape, rather than how many bevels it has. Traditionally, the Ulu had a single edge due to a lack of sharpening technology for creating dual bevels. A dual bevel is easier to sharpen, holds its edge longer, and is easier to cut straight with. A Single bevel Zulu would be great for chopping herbs and such on a cutting board, but would dull rather quickly if used for leather working, like this fine chap ^
