Normally, when you go back to Toriel’s room after reaching the door, it’ll state that you hear crying from the other side. In Genocide, it simply states, “Not worth talking to.” God damn.
One of the most disturbing things about the genocide in this game was the dialogue options when you've reached Toriel... And if you choose the bad ones... Oh boy, I felt that...
But you can still continue if you stop yourself at the last evil choice. I mean, I played pacifist first, then couldn't get past a certain area and just decided to save my progress and create a new game that I played genocide. And then a bit through it I unknowingly aborted genocide and saved. I mean at least I can avoid the final genocide (Obliteration route) boss
@@redspyro4750 Yeah, that's the worst. Especially in section 2 where there is a lot of situations when you can abort the obliteration route by accident. Well, this route it's terrible and as you said the final boss is crazy. As for this dialoge decision in obliteration route with Toriel, imagine choosing the worst one, Kris ripping their soul and you have to kill half of the ruins again, because there was no save after Napstablook fight. Fortunately it didn't happen to me, because I had a feeling and went back to save just before meeting with Toriel. Good call.
What’s real interesting about this game is that it does something that we haven’t really seen before officially: Susie is gaining EXP & LOVE. The only other monsters we know that have done this are Flowey (who doesn’t have a soul so can’t really even be classified as a Monster anymore) and Noelle. What kind of effect this will have on her is unknown, but what makes it more interesting is that _it’s Susie._ Susie is the only character in game that can ignore Kris’ commands, along with Queen and King. Even against enemies Kris’ acts still work, whittling them down to be spared, or doing stuff like commanding Noelle to kill. Another thing we’ve seen is that things like Determination affect Monsters Biologically, so maybe LOVE has a similar biological effect. So this might all lead to Susie getting stronger, getting more distant, and eventually betraying Kris, because she can ignore their ACTs and is therefore able to do as she pleases. Perhaps she completely loses it or goes insane, but Kris can’t train Susie up like they can with Noelle because _Susie only listens to Kris out of choice, and at any point that choice can be revoked._
I mean Firstly, anyone can ignore Kris's commands. They just choose not to because Ralsei is Ralsei, who believes his purpose is to Lightners, but moreso Kris because that's who his form and personality is influenced by. And Noelle is Noelle, who both had no choice but to follow us because she has no idea what she's doing or where she's going otherwise. Someone like Toriel probably wouldn't allow herself to be bossed around like that, as while she doesn't know what she's doing either, she'd still pretend as if she does and do anything in her power to keep Kris and Susie safe And Secondly, Noelle doesn't gain LOVE. Dark World LV isn't the same thing as Light World LV, as you can gain it without Fighting anyone. Personally I think it's more of a progress tracker, while EXP actually goes up with the more Experiences you have, more significant ones giving more EXP than others. And the whole LOVE thing is based solely on Getting Stronger this time Thirdly, LOVE has no inherent link to Determination. The "Growing distant" thing is just you getting desensitized to Killing, it doesn't make anyone who has it become evil and selfish, that's just something we experience because from our perspective we're killing video game characters and to see what happens next. But the one who holds it decides two things: Why they have it and what they're gonna do with it Though knowing Susie she'll probably betray Kris at some point anyway because of the things we're making them do. Or maybe she'll find out about us eventually, who knows. Anything's possible when you're going to unfamiliar worlds

I really like this version of the ruins, seeing as when the normal versions get replaced with these versions out of nowhere, I instantly get goosebumbs. I also really like the part where the wind gets really audible as the music stops for a moment only to be cut of by the music returning. I don't know why, but that's the best part of the song to me.

This is just incorrect. mus_ruinspiano is a slowed down version of An Ending. That song plays at the end of a neutral route, or when you kill Undyne in a neutral route.
Susie: GOD DAMN IT KRIS- K... Kris...? W... Why are you looking at me like that...? (This is an amazing genocide route in my opinion. Once it said "you can use S-ACTION in Susie's MAGIC menu to talk to Nabstablook." Or something like that, I knew that this would be good. It was.)
I really like this theme, it's relaxing, it even sounds strange in contrast to what you do in the genocide route. So calm, such a peaceful song while you dedicate yourself to exterminate all the monsters in the ruins without any kind of mercy. This fangame has been able to bring me back that exciting energy that makes me smile and laugh, that energy that builds up in my chest that makes me can't stop getting excited, just like the snowgrave route did, this fangame could also do it with its genocide route. Such a relaxing song while there is carnage, how sublime.
Really hope section two keeps the Pacifist and Genocide routes, can’t wait Also small suggestion but I’d wish for multiple save files, mostly because it would just be convenient

I mean, she doesnt have a good relationship with the monsters in the ruins anyways, the monsters get usually scared by her, since yknow she scares them away and all that, i think in the original undertale one of the froggit npcs even tell you they're afraid of her, so while she'd find their disappearance odd, she wouldnt really care, and without monsters around it means Frisk's safe, what's ACTUALLY the worst thing, is that killing Flowey means that the True Pacifist ending CAN'T happen, so they're all doomed to stay underground or die to a genocide run.

What if Kris and Frisk's souls have nearly the same amount of DT? so Frisk like cant undo Kris's actions until Kris leaves the world, and the reset point would be marked right when Frisk woke up (which would be right after Kris leaves, meaning that Frisk is the one in control of the timeline), after all, we can use SAVE Points, meaning Kris' soul is the one with the most determination in Section 1.

i have a serious problem with genocide routes in deltarune fangames. In chapter 1, it's told to you that "your choices don't matter" and i get that snowgrave route exists, but that wasn't you killing them. That's NOELLE killing them.
I get you, I can even relate to that as well on some level. But in this fangame scenario, they're literally in whole different worlds like Undertale, playing by UNDERTALE's rules, where killing and making choices that affect your path IS possible.

Reading all these comments, drawing out information, all becasue I can’t do the deed. But reading about Kris having his own reactions to your actions is quite interesting. Seeing Kris fight you back when you go on such a route is subtly encouraging, even if the only character they were able to save was Toriel. This really does express Kris having not only his own independent personality (could we call that a SOUL?), but also having some care and concern for the monsters they have bonded with. So despite everything, the Genocide can really reveal Kris and his intentions more than we think. 🤔
