What's the name of the song you used?
I wish movies still look like this ❤ this is awesome
Thank you so much
Nailed it, this kind of cinematgraphy is always a beauty

Thank you so much, means the world to me! Here are some of my PowerGrades :) saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
to me it looks more 70's/80's but still a great job
Absolutely fan-flippin-tastic. Put a huge smile on my face, the colour grading is great but everything about the way you've shot this just works so well. Ending shot in particular. Inspiring stuff, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Marcus! :) if you would like to check out my PowerGrades, it would mean the world to me!

Nice grade!
I would love for you to check out my PowerGrades :) saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
this magnificent ; great job.
People complaining in the comment that it is too dark should call Jonah Hill too and all of the dp who shot on super16mm since cinema was invented, to let them know it's too dark ;)
I feel like I just watched submission footage for the Degrassi Intro haha. Awesome look recreation!
Yo I appreciate that 😂
@@SaffordFilms Of course! I'd love to see a look breakdown. This is awesome!
@@JustinPorterMedia uploaded a tutorial!
@@SaffordFilms oh dang! Watching now. Just subbed. Awesome work seriously. Keep it up 🔥🔥
@@JustinPorterMedia subbed back!
Damn this is nice. I loved the movie too! Did you use a lut/powergrade or go off rec 709?
Here are several of my PowerGrades: saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
In love! What settings do you recommend in the Black Magic for this look?
Thank you! I was shooting everything 5.7k BRAW, 8:1 at 23.976fps. To top it off, I was shooting at ISO 3200 to get more grain and wasn’t afraid of noise for this look
@@SaffordFilms Sweet thank you! Awesome work.
70s: Low contrast, low saturation 80s: high contrast, high saturation 90s: Hight contrast, low saturation
amazing results dude! what lenses did you use?
Thanks man! Just sigma 18-35 for this one
I want to make a movie one day.
what song is used in this?
It’s so weird how 4:3 just feels more comfortable to watch videos. You’d think full frame would be more ideal thing but I lean towards 4:3 more often
There’s something biologically pleasing about 4:3. I think it’s the best ratio for faces, but also I think we have less information in the frame so we’re drawn to our subjects better in 4:3
@@SaffordFilms yeah, I agree with the idea that generally 4K + kind of videos tend to sharpen way too much detail and deliver way to much information for the brain 🧠 to process. Which is why nowadays you see filmmakers soften up their images because audiences tend to feel relaxed when the images blend together easier than highlighting its information separately.
I’ve been debating to go for C70 or BMPCC 6k pro. I’m been leaning more towards BM because of the fantastic colors. I’m still on the fence though
If you were going to make that in to a movie what would it be about?
can you do tutorial on how to get this ascetic
Hey there! :) I have created several PowerGrades that you can check out here: saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
Would u prefer the Blackmagic 6K Pro over the Sony a73iii
I personally would. Hard to beat the internal ND, shooting RAW, and just the overall camera sensor of the 6k pro
@@SaffordFilms I meant to say s3 but okay. I've been contemplating about the next camera I should get
@@michialharris1850 I figured that’s what you meant!
Wow nice u have a lut for this look? :)
Not for this look specifically, but I have all of my powergrade options here! saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
@@SaffordFilms ah alright, yea i dont use Powergrades and Davinci, i use Photoshop and After Effects with LUTS only :/ the Vintage one looks interesting :)
please make this a lut ill buy it
Hey there, thank you so much :) here are several of my PowerGrades: saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
Could you make a tutorial on this look
Here are my PowerGrades! :) saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
which lens did you use?
Sigma 18-35mm only on this project!
@@SaffordFilms did you use diffusion filter?
what lense is this
I only used the Sigma 18-35mm for this one
if you could get me this look with some sort of LUT on premiere I would buy it...
Happy holidays! Here is a .cube LUT file of this look!

@@SaffordFilms your two videos on that style are amazing ; i'm a noob, so could i ask you what's the difference between the look and the powergrade please ? thx
70s-80s more like lol. Still very cool though
Tutorial please¡
My android phone camera quality when I adjust the settings:
you wish
@@imanbinamran I don't wish I've seen.
No tutorial??
Holy shit please show us how you did this
I would love for you to check out several of my PowerGrades! saffordfilmspowergrades.myshopify.com/collections/safford-films-powergrades
Sembra il video degli AIR: All I Need
2.5K = 90S
It's not grading, it's everything else
Yes. Camera movement (tripod, dolly) was a huge part of the look. Aspect ratio. And of course the grade and the film aspects (grain, dirt, halation, etc)
@@SaffordFilms I mean, technical parts yes, but also clothes, scenery and so on
@@Kyzox2000 absolutely
🖤💙🤍
very underexposed images
Why is it called mid 90s when it imitates how we grew up ?
The film Mid90s rather than the decade itself
Instead of paying $2,000~ on a camera, you should've paid $30~ for an old camera. lmao
Honestly, im not trying to be mean but this is kind of bad, cuz theres no actual tricks like an ollie or kickflip, no hiphop, or baggy clothing with skatebranding brands or hip hop groups on it, plus its kinda cliche. No offense tho, look feels authentic
Nah. This aint mid-90s film look. Too dark. More like mid 80s
The film "mid 90s" not the decade
why would you want a mid 90s look? possibly the most horrible look of all time.
Definitely
